Such an Anointing on this whole song but especially towards the second half where the people keep on praising JESUS! I can totally feel the Anointing! It reminds me of the story of JESUS @ the wedding where He saved the best WINE for last!...GLORY TO KING JESUS!!... GBU! :)
HALLELUJAH!!!!! AMEN!!!!!! O JESUS!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!! YOU ARE THE BEAUTIFUL ONE!!!! ALL MIGHT, ALL POWER, ALL WISEDOM, ALL GLORY, ALL HONOUR BELONGS TO YOU!!!!!! YOU ARE THE BEAUTIFUL ONE!!!!! AMEN!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!
May we never let loose of our wonder, let it be so that we grip onto the splendid inquisitiveness of god so that we may never go stagnant by superficial religious practices that do not permit such thoughts. Let it be so that we open our hearts so as to invite a new wave of the sprit. A wave that will soon bring us to the time of greater things that Jesus talks of in John 14:12. May the current be strong enough to level the oppressive mindset of the church. The mindset that quickly strikes down fellow Christians with arrows that are taken from the quiver of satan himself. The mindset that allows for pious thoughts and aloof actions towards the other denomination; however, loving towards fellow members of their side of Christianity or the so called right side. While the acts of worship are being ridiculed, miracles denounced, and the works of god demoted down to the point of giving glory to the enemy by saying it is by their hands. The people with there ear to heaven our gaining direction and striping down every part of religion that they have so they may become the perfect servant of god. I say to you this as a final charge. Though crucifixion is not a form of punishment in today’s terms. The works of Jesus would be punished and ridiculed by narrow-minded religious doctrines to the point of suffocation. The suffocation of the works of god is taking place. Religion is once again the enemy of Christ.
his reading the words off of the wall at the back - no connection with the congregation at all, at least I don't feel any connection. Know the words. Imitating people like Kim Walker with the little laugh - what's up with the little laugh?
If you have to rely on the perfect song to get you connected to God then you need to check your relationship with God! It’s about the relationship when we are all alone and that is what we bring when we come together as a congregation in church to praise Him. We don't actually need songs to get us any closer as we already are as close as we can be! And the fact is God can meet us anywhere if we allow Him to. So no matter what is going on in worship, say if the guitarist is playing out of tune, or the drums are out of rhythm, it doesn’t matter because you know what? God is here, in us and it’s our minds that need to be changed. Sorry I just felt really strongly to say this because so many Christians believe this today.
Shanen Soltani-Icely I totally agree with everything you're saying - no perfect song is needed to get you connected to God. But do understand for a new believer coming into church on a Sunday, he/she doesn't have that connection to God that you're already experiencing - this is a whole new 'world' that they're experiencing for the first time. They're first impression is someone like the pastor or the worship leader because those would normally be the first people they see and because they don't know any better. As a worship leader your role, if any, is to facilitate the process of getting people to connect with Yahweh. I myself have the privilege of facilitating this process in church on a Sunday and more that finding fault with what his doing, I think I'd rather encourage him to learn the words so that if the Holy Spirit does move (which I have no doubt that he does move in these services) that you're not concentrating on the back wall or a piece of paper on a music stand but you're noticing that person in the crowd, not praising God like all the others around him/herself, and you start interceding for that person, because spiritually/physically/emotionally they're struggling. As a worship leader you're not there for yourself and how you could look great or sing great - you're there to serve. For His is the Glory forever and ever. Maybe it's just inexperience and he still needs to learn these few things as he grows in this capacity because it is one of the first times that I see Hunter leading worship. If you look at the other leaders like Jeremey, Jenn, Brian they're not concentrating that much on the words - even though it is correct. I hope this makes a bit more sense.
Tiaan Fourie Hi Tiaan, I can totally understand where you’re coming from, especially if you’re at the front and you’re new to it all. But I would say that my encouragement to any new believer would be for them to try closing their eyes first if they feel distracted by anything else but God, because at the end of the day God can use anyone even the guy who can’t remember the words to the song and it's down to whether were aware of how God is speaking to us. We should be encouraging our generation to see into the unseen realm rather than the seen! Listen towards the end, everyone is enjoying the FREEDOM and messiness of Holy Spirit, its a beautiful thing! God Bless
Agreed :) and that's why as I mentioned - I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit is moving in and through the service, it's notable during the free worship :) Blessings
