they used his savefile to improve the game. in a future episode you can see that the framerate no longer becomes an absolute slideshow. the cill guy also needs to watch how old the video is, eg which milestones (and the entire phase 7&8) were new in this episode, trains were new, and oil still was available only in barrels and not in pipes. similarly, there was no water yet, powerplants all needed no water (hehe, wait for the episode where he needed to fix that after they invented water and pipes). there also was no awesome shop, many researches were instead done in the mam (which at that time was a part of the hub instead of a separate building), and others were part of milestones instead of mam researches. manufacturers looked very different, as well as ai limiters and quartz and some other items. and of course, there were no ziplines yet, no zooping, and whatever.
