I like to think that this was Prime's coping stage. Unlike the Prime we get later in the Bayverse, this Prime is still coming to terms with losing the Cybertron Civil War and has a case of extreme PTSD - hence his irrationality and obsessive desire to return to Cybertron even if it means summoning Unicron to this universe.
If there's one thing we learned about Optimus through out the years is that when he says he's going to do something specific to someone........he completely follows through with it.
I love film Optimus He does not fuck around with his mortal enemies or fall into a moral crisis after ending one Brother knows he's is at war and won't hesitate
On a couple of occasions Prime has been shown to have a dark ( more merciless) side to him. The first example that comes to mind for me is the final fight of Armada. Galvatron plainly pointed out how Optimus was acting incredibly similar to Galvatron himself. So this is no shock to me. Every hero has a dark side.
@@spandexspleen Absolutely, but I like that they made him a magnificent bastard of a villain that actually wins at several points in the movie. It sells him as a villain that's actually threatening to the heroes.
@@korsekil Lockdown was the coldest, most intimidating mf in entire Transformers history who doesn't even has any asspull like Matrix of leadership or Unicorn's blood.
Prime is so overwhelmed with *Burning Justice* , he took a glancing shot from Scourge's cannon arm to. the. face! Rammed his sword through Scourge's mouth and into hot lava without getting his hand melted off and splashing himself without even scorching his paint and Autobrand, then punched the TransWarp key and survived the resultng explosion at point blank range. That shows you the real power of a Prime!
I feel like the way it was shown, Scourge is supposed to be far physically stronger than the average cybertronian hence Optimus being caught off guard. Its the last fight also being one on one that made it inconsistant cause suddenly he and Prime have the same general capabilities.
No he wasn't. He was always nice to the humans because he respected that it wasn't his planet. But he was unhinged when it came to decepticons, he would brutalize them. That never changed going forward. What changed a lot was his attitude, he developed a super authoritative personality. Dude became more commanding and strict, I guess cuz he lost so many friends and fighters.
There goes a good villain we could have had come back! Like imagine if he got away and its just decepticons and cobra for like 4 movies then down the line as you have forgotten this just as ya think the decepticons are done scourge and his massive army of unicron worriors come back with the help of Megatron they open the portal leading to a great sequel bait fo unicron coming. Ahhhhh what a fucking waste of a concept i bet this magufin won't come back in anyway... And this isn't just a transformer thing too DC& marvel too just love killing bad guys or redeeming them to the point they have no enemies that have impact Let your bad guy be a looming threat in the background it works so well.
I see the crossover with GI Joe being how they could reintroduce Megatron to the new timeline, and how Scourge and Unicron's legacy can continue. When Noah goes to the recruiting office, the tech team is examining Scourge's ship which could mean trouble later on. As for Megatron, I look back to the "Generation 2" comics by Marvel. They tied both series together for a crossover event where Megatron fell to Earth after some conflict in space, and was rebuilt by Cobra into his purple and green tank form. Throw in a twist of "Animated" where it's the Joes who find him first, revive and begin to rebuild him after he manipulates them into thinking he's just another Autobot only to find out the hard way he's not.
@@CloroxBleach-qy7vy exactly that in the first movie they killed him off but they didn't cut him in half and leave his body in lava . Megatron had a chance to come back and when he did omg he brought it !! first thing he did was go to home base sort starscream for abandoning him then came back to earth and killed prime basically won the autobots split up and ran couldn't do anything.
@@_GeneralMechanics_ I love that!!! idea show decepticons being deceptive again like in the bumblebee movie yes a animated Megatron type start would be sick. Wait did the terrorcons have a ship? They landed in their entry pod forms right ? They had the spire thing but that sucked back into the wormhole Unicron was using.
