Hey, glad I inspired you to make one! So what I did for cleaning was this... Have a little cup ready with clean water that's the same temperature as the water in the tank. Get a little minnow net and start to pour the water out into the net. Eventually the fish will swim out through the top of the bottle into the net. Then dip the net in the cup and let your fish swim out of it. Try to avoid touching the fish because they have a slime coating they need to have on them to fight bacteria. Once the fish is in the cup I just poured all the rocks into a strainer or in the sink and rinse them thoroughly with water. I learned not to use soap in any fish aquarium when cleaning. Rinse out the bottle really well, too. And what I did was I had a empty gallon water jug that I filled with filtered water from my fridge. I fill that jug up everytime I clean the tank and let the water sit until I need it so it gets to room temperature. Once the rocks and bottle are rinsed, go ahead and put the rocks back in first. Then fill the whiskey bottle with water from the gallon jug. I also put 1 drop of tap water conditioner in as well, just in case. Once the bottle is filled back up, I have a funnel that I made out of the top of a 2 liter bottle. I cut the top of the 2 liter and both openings (on the 2 liter and the Jack Daniel's bottle) are the same size. So you can rinse the funnel so it's wet, net the fish, and drop the fish into the funnel and down into the bottle. I also have an aerator running overnight for him and then take it out in the day.
