Just pay that $28 back, i bet his parent can afford that, or just beg on the street for week then go to the gas station and resolve it personally with the owner. if scared, bring his parents to help resolve the issue but knowing the guy, he probably scared as hell, and spent 14 years rethinking the same incident over and over again
“Put more effort” Gonna give it to the western when it’s about making dumb assumptions on police. His friends was arrested not long after they committed a crime and this guy also would’ve been arrested if not for him hiding in the forest. The cop likely stop searching and only put out warrants for him when they couldn’t find him after a few week. Cop weren’t putting in that much effort as you thought lmao. Also it isn’t about $24, it’s about *armed robbery*
Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊😊😊
It's pure stupidity, this would only make sense if the crime he committed was something that could get him a lifetime in prison, like murder or something. He should have known that the sentence for robbery would not be a life sentence.
It's not a three year crime. In fact, in China robbing 8 dollar do break the law but is not even a crime. He will be detened between 5 to 10 days because of that. He only be sentenced for three year because he ran for 14 years...😂
What? No. Companies that commit wage theft don’t have to pay back those wages, unless they are taken to court. There isn’t an apology usually, and not everyone is paid back… The Irs takes a bunch of money in taxes for “errors” and gets to keep it. The police takes a bunch of money from traffic stops, and gets to keep what isn’t claimed: (people have lost their life savings). Some employees commit different forms of theft too, (on call | remote employees who commit fraud in the workplace is more common).
I mean The three years of prison aren't for the $8, they're for the armed robbery If you're gonna whine about something that's wrong but also completely unrelated, the parallels are not really gonna support you
They reduce the sentence significantly the longer they're a fugitive and especially if it's a self turn in as Liu could have easily just been a homeless man in the city no problem
@@jesussancen7459 what tf are you talking about? Ah yes I helped them out in a crime where someone potentially could have been killed and did nothing to prevent it. But I didn’t actually hold the gun, just helped them out in every other possible aspect of the crime. Yeah 100% innocent and 100% safe for someone who helped plan out the potential murder of someone to walk on the streets.
@@jesussancen7459No, it should be well over three, some would even argue for upwards of 20 years, and I think he deserves a long time because he literally threatened someone else’s life. Whether he was the one with the gun or not, he helped orchestrate it and was an accomplice to the crime.
after release, he could teach people on how to survive in wild for a living. definitely can earn more than $8 if he knows how to advertise his skills to all the prison inmates and officers.
He doesn't really have much skills. Pretty much anyone can survive in the wilderness. And what he learned isn't that much. Survival experts who never actually stayed in the wild for longer than a few days would most likely have more knowledge than him. Look at it this way: Would you rather learn martial arts from a professional MMA coach, or from someone who never train anything, but has gotten into 200 street fights?
@@thehuntermikipl1170The one with 200 street fights and is still somehow alive. MMA usually doesn't kill you or at least not on purpose, people on street fights either want you beat up and at the hospital or dead. So yeah, that analogy doesn't really work even though in the end you're probably right about survival experts being more useful than this guy.
@@thehuntermikipl1170an mma coach would be great but probably a street fighter that has survived 200 fights, street fights are unfair a lot of times so its better to learn from someone that has been in a lot of unfair fights rather than someone that has been in a lot of controlled and fair fights
@@classeontop7403 I think it depend on how owner money feeling, if they want to be aggressive to earn their money back that would what happen to sue thief or whatever.
@@classeontop7403What is 3 years going to teach him when he gets out of prison? To not rob someone at gunpoint? Odds are that he’s going to repeat his crime by sneakily robbing next time because they certainly do it for a reason. The most common reason for why they do it is their financial situation. If someone’s financial situation is good, they have no reason to rob someone at gunpoint unless they are greedy or they have mental problems. They should definitely offer him programs so he gets his life together during or after the prison sentence.
@@guywholovemaps1591 Liu isn't a Japanese name. This was probably in China or Taiwan, both in which the statute of limitations for a crime like this is 20 years.
That would actually be funny, some guy commited a crime, learned how to live in the woods for 14 years, decided to turn himself in only to get isekaid by truck-kun
@@JudeOhHeccnope prison are meant to isolate criminal from society he already isolate himself from society with that act therefore it is practically what prison are for
this story is being presented because it's highly ironic; the guy *did* commit or was an accomplice to an armed robbery, but afterwards he decided to live in similar conditions to, or even worse conditions than, a prison for 14 years. obviously threatening someone's life isn't a good thing to do, especially over $24, but it was still over a decade ago and any damage done has been fixed in some way. NO ONE is flipping any narratives for *their own* benefit unless the guy who locked himself outside made 200 youtube accounts to argue for his case.
Tbh...if i was in a robbery and only got out with 8 dollars in my pocket... I'd rather turn myself in, at least i can get 3 years prison food rather than whatever the hell 8 dollars can get. It must be so embarrassing to be known as a robber that only got a total of 24 dollars under his belt
First people want to give him a free pass because he only got $8 out of his armed robbery. Now those want to give him another free pass because he didn’t have enough fun during the 14 years he was evading the law. These were all his bad choices.
EXACTLY! That complete dumfuck could have left the cave any time he wanted free of consequences and gotten away with it, plus it stated he still visited his parents on holidays, if he was able to do that than who's to say for sure that he stayed in the woods every other time and didn't go out to cheap places for fun?
3 years is fair. It's still an armed robbery even if it's just 8 dollars. They put the lives of others in danger so stop saying that it's harsh because it is not. It's not just stealing it's an armed robbery.
@@ricecake3544The amount does matter, provided that the theft is the only crime you committed. If someone shoplifted a candy bar and got caught, the sentence would be pretty light. There's also the teensy matter of threatening someone's life with a gun though, he did do that too
@@grandpa8877ah yes. According to you, if I commit murder during my teen years and live a long live and turn myself in as a grandpa, I’m suddenly innocent
you keep talking about a man's life having threatened we're talking about that happening over a decade ago and the prosecuted having lived in self-inflicted prison during that time.
Ummm. *14 years* of having to learn how to live in the wild, with constant threat of animals killing hım and all while not having a complete idea of what was going on with his family or general society at all
@@gulsum6084umm that's his own choice? Is the government supposed to care if you decide to punish yourself? Plus he didn't live in a cave to punish himself he did it to try and get away from the law lol
>steals since too lazy to put in effort >goes into hiding out of fear of being caught >learns to put in effort and do things on his own in order to survive Maybe this is a better prison than one that ridicules people and treats them like crap to scare people into behaving. This way he learned to work hard for himself instead of stealing the work of others.
I hate to say it, but there is always consequences for every action, good or bad. he helped in an armed robbery, so there is jail time. The amount od $24 doesn't matter. Had he gone ahead and turned himself in, he would've been free a long time ago.
Bro, this guy left his old life because of 8 dollars, learned how to hunt and survive in the wild, and lived on his own for 14 years. This guy deserves to be interviewed and gain hundreds.
The guy finally learned logic after 14 years. At least in prison he'll get to network and that's not a setback if he has nothing to lose in the first place.
I feel like living like that for 14 years and seemingly not committing crimes during that time period should just lead to a slap on the wrist. 8 bucks and also living miserably is not easy.
There should be a way to get out of doing time behind bars or community service if someone does something like this. Somehow the justice, and math of oh, you exiled yourself for 11 years longer than the maximum prison sentence we're giving you doesn't add up, or make sense. It also seems like cruel and unusually overkill punishment.
