I provided security for Colin at a concert he played in N.B. in '91- he walked the aisles amongst the audience with his guitar (wireless), behind his head, playing William Tell Overture. Crazy. And to think he had to audition to get the 'permit' to busk in a Toronto subway station, where he was ultimately 'discovered'.

I was lucky enough to see him play at his club in Toronto a couple times before he passed. AMAZING shows! Also plays a mean trumpet. He had one of the largest of old jazz recordings and for a while had a jazz show on CBC radio. Rest in peace Jeff.

Mister Jeff Healey is rank right up there with Stevie Ray Vaughan in fact there is a video of both of theses legendary guitarist playing together and it is truly magic to watch. It is a crying shame that both of theses artists have passed away so young in their careers. R.I.P JEFF HEALEY AND STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN.

Jeff Healey went to my high school about 5 years before me. He was a legend in the music department. Another friend, upon graduating played drums for Jeff’s band. He is such a talent. RIP JEFF 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

Saw him live at Newcastle city hall (UK) in 89. Mind blowing gig! He was all over the stage when he rocked out and the bass player was always there to guide him back to his seat.

I attended his club [ HEALEY"S} in Toronto Canada a few times . I made sure that it was on a night that he would be on . MY ! my! My ! All of us in Canada new who he was. He also had some international hits .

RIP Jeff! (only 41 when he passed - sad loss) Had the absolute pleasure of seeing him live once when dating my wife (so many moons ago), it was right before New Years eve, local bar outside of his home of Toronto. What an amazing show!! It was a night of blues and rock n' roll! (and See The Light was a definite highlight!) I think his 'technique' is completely muscle memory & feel. He began playing when he was 3, so he knows every inch of that guitar! Should check his cover version of The Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps, a nice ballad called Angel Eyes, How Long Can A Man Be Strong, and so many others.

You can’t say enough good things about Jeff Healey he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. And this show used to have the greatest musical performances ever and the other musicians are no slouches either that Piano player that you brought up is None other than the great Dr. John. That’s one of the greatest piano solos I ever heard

Like free throws, these extraordinary musicians can look like they are "out of this world" because it's almost impossible to comprehend his gift. The one thing Jeff Healy did not want was any unnecessary sympathy because of the fact that he was blind. He just wanted to be put up there with the great ones according to his ability, cutting his chops with the best, and you know what, he definitely did that.
