Its literally not the same thing. His dad did all the work creating a business. This kid doesn't look like he has ever been in a crawl. It all started 2 years ago when i was 16 years old, get out of here little boy this is a man's trade. 😂 @@sidisow572
@@victorhardin2186fr💀 me and my dad started our business together and no matter what I let everyone know he’s in charge and that I’m just a worker. Doesn’t hurt to be honest 🤦🏽♂️
He makes two mill bc he took over the company his dad built, from what he said in the video. So how much do the guys actually doing the work make? This dude isn’t in the field.
@@BlueCollarEDU so no one actually doing the hvac work is making two million? So why lie and say this guy makes two million doing hvac. No he makes two million from answering phone calls and emails about hvac work.
@@BlueCollarEDU I'm in electrical school almost done, im going into lineman school rite after but HVAC is nice too to have under your belt...I'll either have electrical and lineman or electrical and HVAC
@Certified Fn Hater why be a hater? You can start off as a tech and work your way towards building your own company and making 2 mill. Inheriting it isn't the only way
@@sanditepoop He does work in HVAC. He was a tech previously and owns an HVAC business. The dude is in the HVAC industry whether you believe it or not. Owning something doesn’t remove you from the industry… crazy, right? 🙄
How could you possibly know anything about someone you’ve never met. All you old mfrs are the same talking shit about young people just cause you’re older.
And inherit it, nothing wrong with that. Everyone leaking their jealousy all over the comments has the same opportunity to start/do the same thing. It’s a choice.
Not jealousy but a KEY component to realize when trying to replicate another successful persons blueprint. Hopefully youre more logical than emotional in your business endeavors. God Bless.@@TitaniumTurbine
And what if he was passed down a company? Don’t worry about how he got it just worry about what he’s doing with it. A lot of times the business owners make their kid or relative buy the business (they still need retirement money).
Pray your born to a father with a successful business and listen to everything he says and do things exactly the way he did them, hats off man well done
anything wrong with that? lots of people get jobs via connections whether thats family or friends. welcome to the working world. and he does his job anyway, so who cares , its not like hes doing nothing and getting paid for it
@@lemonstrangler Right? What is going on in the comments?!?! So much jealousy from people who would gladly take over their parent’s business for profit… it’s not like he’s even an outsider either, he was a tech and he knows the trade. WTF people?
@@kevinolvera1715 own a fairly big hvac company. But don’t pay myself that much. I pay my techs really well though and have roughly zero turn over. If his top line revenue is 2 mil then that would make more sense or he’s like every other southern I know and doesn’t pay people anything
Ya the trades sound like a great idea until u realize that for most of them they don’t make that great of $. And to add to that, people are just now starting to realize the trades as a option again instead of college, which means the supply of trades workers will go up and the pay will remain stagnant or go down… I don’t say that to hate on the trades or the ppl doing them. But some love to glamorize it more than they deserve.
i barely see anyone around my age of 23 doing hvac here in florida. not many peoole can stand the heat and a lot of people quit. ive been in the trade since 17
Thats definitely not reality. You cant find hvac guys. And if you lose one. You probably wont replace them. Also im making 48 an hour at my company. About to be full time at my own company thats starting to take off. I make over 2k a day doing work for myself.
@200130769 your not working 8 hours a day and making 2000$ a day. If you where making 2000$ a day you would be working for yourself full time. You might make a couple grand doing an install on the weekend but your definitely not working full-time and making 2000$ a day also
I own an HVAC COMPANY. You have to have a huge outfit to make 2 mil a year as a company. Not just the owner making it. And the one day I wore those clothes to work is the last day those clothes looked nice.
I live service, $25 an hr and I meet all kinds of people and get to drive around everywhere, it’s not for everyone but there’s a lot of perks like fresh air and being on rooftops, working by themselves
@@BoratVoiceMyWifewhat do you mean just started? did you got through a apprentice ship while in school? or are you saying after you got done with school?
HVAC has some of the highest markups ever. I worked in HVAC company owner was notorious for saying “people want to be cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cold, and they will pay for it”
@@BlueCollarEDU That's cool and all but it's a little misleading for people who aren't born into the trade like this kid was. Not everyone can take over Daddy's company. With all due respect, he didn't start the company, his Dad did. He just expanded what his Dad built. Big difference.
Not true at all. I have 13 years in commercial hvac. Another guy and i from the same company have started successful businesses in the trade. If you get good at a trade, you can let your work speak for itself and let it carry you.
I know a plumber who has 6 mercedes sprinter vans, 11 employees and drives a lambo. People gotta shit and they like to wash their hands and that’s not changing
To get started I recommend being born into a successful family with a HVAC company and then take it over once your dad gets it booming. Once you make your first million, I would start spelling out HVAC by saying each letter instead of saying it the normal way.
Nothing wrong with handing over the business to your kid to continue the business legacy as long as he or she said like what he said and learn and soak up everything you were taught. I think that dad raised him right and gave him the opportunity to succeed. 🤟
i started as a apprentice 4 yrs ago at 17 an hour with a small company ,now i make 95k + a year as a ammonia refrigeration tech for a food processing plant
It’s a good career path. And if your a good worker they will pay you well to keep you around. It’s hard to find young people with a good work ethic and willing to learn and all the old school guys are retiring.
Silver spooned? Why is everyone so twisted that he turned the company his dad started from a 100k company into a 7 figure business? Some people have no realization what it takes.
My dads a hvac technician, knows in and outs of this however he’s always working as an employee, my plan after graduating high school is to work with him and go to school for a hvac license and to hopefully start a business since my brother and dad know it pretty well
💪 The blue collar industries are becoming more and more important every year as there is a lack of young people coming in to learn, work and take over older companies.
Servicemen honestly get paid too little for what they do, which is why lots of people are like "nah". But I still might do HVAC, since it seems cool to me, and plus there’s high demand which means hopefully wages/salaries will increase. I’m only 17.
Company hand down, I work for a young kid who’s the same and knows everything about the business I’ve been in for 30 years. It’s frustrating as hell, but soon I will be able to tell him to go pound sand.
I’ve been in the healthcare field for 4 years as a certified nursing assistant/technician while working at a hospital. I thought of furthering my career, but I’ve come to the realization that it isn’t for me. I came across HVAC because I would like to work in a field that’s hands-on and not a desk job. It also sounds very rewarding, and I'm willing to learn. However, I’m not really confident I'll succeed because I'm not much of a handyman and have very little knowledge of tools.
Some questions I have 1. Isn’t this trade really hard on your back? I struggle with back pain and moderate scoliosis. 2. Do you have to be good with colors? I’m colorblind (red-green) 3. How mechanically inclined do you have to be? Thanks!
Ya mabey he got lunky where he was born , look clean to me no drugs growing up cant blame him , do they do heavy commercial, light or all residential, im getting about a 100 a year in residential sole proprietor hvac & plumbing in a 20000 peps town
I don’t know why y’all hating isn’t that what every parent desires? To pass on a company to their child as a nice nest egg for their future. I’m in HVAC too and my company is 3 years strong and my daughter who loves working wrenches with me will get the company if she wants to stay in the trade then
Not to dock any negative experiences he might have, but this is definitely the easy route for getting into the trade. The biggest turn-off for the younger people getting into the trades is the old heads. Oftentimes, they don't enjoy training you and expect you to go to trade school, even though they learned on the job years ago. In my limited experience, if you work for a smaller company, especially HVAC, the upper management will pile on the work and then pressure you to have maximum efficiency while not making any mistakes. I worked a summer at a company as a Preventative Maintenance tech (i know, not even a real tech) and my parter and I busted out 12 hour days of contracts and then got told it was sub par when it came time for our 6 month review.
the amount of hate in the comments lol. im 23 about to take on my grandfathers company, been in the field since 17. i learned the business inside and out
Thank you..like what the fuck is having a business if you can’t pass it down to one’s own family…currently in school for the trade if I’m very lucky enough to have a successful HVAC business damn right my SON taking over. I bet my life this guy been around the trade since birth. Hate for no reason.
HVAC is an overlooked market now cuz everyone got on the ride like they did with roofing years back. Now there’s so many companies, to much competition. Now everyone and their momma is a roofer and an hvac guy. You wanna make money? Do something not alot of people do.
Not the best person to interview. He has a father who already owned a successful business and had good connections. Because of that, the kid didn't need to work as hard. Most people here can't relate to that.
Can’t take advise from people who have had so much help to get we’re their at. This guy may work hard but he’s been given HUGE opportunities just because he’s family. People like him and people that actually built themselves from nothing will be in the same league, specially not in a job site.
okay, so you think turning a small one man company that made 100k into a 10 employee company making 2 million is a easy thing? I'd love to see some of these commenters go out & do that!
I hit up every company (with a proper resume) that popped up in 2023 at my old job cause we had down time, nothing, recently, nothing, time to start some motion another way boys☠️ can’t say to much on this account ya dig😭
