The original Frankenstein story came well before modern zombies, and may have influenced some of them, particularly where they're the result of scientific experimentation, as with the Resident Evil Franchise. (loose inspiration, but still there)

Thinking that human-created undead creatures are a superior "race" is no crazier than thinking that one group of people is superior to another based on skin color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, belief system, or any other superficial quality. In fact, it's LESS crazy. At least Frankenstein's creations were made to his specific specifications. Thinking you can create better than God/Mother Nature/whatever is crazy, but thinking superficial qualities make someone better than someone else is crazier. 🤦

I also somewhat dissagree with his statement. While classic Zombies are a bit different the only thing set in stone is that Zombies are undead. The rest is up to the specific setting. While Frankensteins creature is more a classic monster there are many Zombies that are made. Frankensteins monster is very close to the Zombie cadavres from Haitiis Voodoo culture. Voodoo Zombies are the OG monsters that inspired Romeros Zombies. The Resident Evil Zombie Monsters or the Undead from the classic Re-Animator movie blurr the line even further. The story that movie is based on is 'Herbert West-Reanimator' (1922) from H.P.Lovecraft, which in itself is a parody or homage to Merry Shellys Frankenstein.

It took me a moment to realize that "humongous" was probably meant to be "homunculous"...which makes a lot more sense :D
