Yeah, John Erwin rules at that! Though we gotta give props to Dolph Lundgren, Garry Chalk, Cam Clarke, Chris Wood, and Yuri Lowenthal for all bringing their own flair to Adam shouting "I have the Power!" after he transforms into He-Man. And it's funny 'cause Doug Parker voices Adam normally in The New Adventures of He-Man, while Garry voices him as He-Man, which is one of the only times we have two separate voices for Adam and He-Man.
i do like that the later versions made the physical transformation more drastic even as a kid i thoguth it was dumb that no one realise the only difference between Adam and Heman was the amount of clothing they wore and a tan
@@WardNightstone It also was in the old show how Adam carries himself normally to when he's He-Man that made the distinction harder, like Superman when he's Clark, and how his posture, mannerisms and all that differ from when he's Superman. But yeah, making him look distinct as Adam to when he's He-Man is a good visual idea.
83-85 Classic, iconic, perfection. 87 Realistic body proportion, alright 90-91 GI-joe, it's alright 02-04 Anime, I like it 2021 - Soy to chad September 2021 - Skipped leg day
You still can, there's a DVD bundle out there, if I'm correct it might have the Christmas special (no spoilers but it's worth watching) Just be ready to have that 80s blast and fun like we had, just because it's 2024 does not mean good people can't bring the 80s along with the ride
Man I didn't expect the CGI He-Man to be that good lmao. For real I had the lowest expectations and it surprised me. It has one of the best versions of Skeletor too
The CG show ended up being pretty bad ass. It's that perfect balance of kids maturity. Also the fact they borrowed the plot device from the double dragon show that every one gets a power up was nice
We have the power, so can you. They where all good. The first one though is still the best one. The CGI version just aired today and it did quite well. And now He-Man and friends go though incredible transformations. The best part is when after his friends transform He-Man says We Have the Power. And after waiting for 38 years Teela finally transforms into the Sorceress. To the Late Linda Gary I would say: she finally did it, Teela is the Sorceress she was meant to be, you would be proud, Linda.
If that live action He-Man film ever gets off the ground and created with the right tone and scale, than "I have the power!" could become one of the greatest moments in film history.
it's really the sound effects guys that did a brilliant job on the first one the way it sounds slightly distant and echo-ing repeatedly as if the actual sound is 10x has strong
One of the few things I liked about Revelation, and like again in the cgi show, is that it's actually believable for somebody to not know Adam and He-Man are the same person.
Yep. And the others are like "nah, originals are better", due to nostalgia hugging them. Personally, new ones are better, because the transformation sequence is sickass.
There is only another version which could be better. The Italian voice of the 2md season (Ep. 66). IT IS PERFECTION (imho) Here the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WY177eKQdHU.html
It's why it works so well! With the original, Adam had been He-Man for some time, so he's had practice, so it fits for the CGI series to have him confused when he first transforms into He-Man.
Lemme just Say Dolph Lundgren as He Man calling out I Have The Power was plain Badass 😊 I remember getting chills as an 8 year old in 87 and yelling out with him I Have The Power while holding up my Plastic Sword of Power I even named my Striped Tabby Cat Cringer 😁
I love the original, 2002 and (mostly) the ggi one I DID enjoyed the revelations one buf after seeing he man die and basically ruining the continuation...I stopped caring about revelations Now I think the ggi reboot is better than revelations (alongside the OG and 2002)
@@biakisstheunknownfangirl8907 So? Adam still came back, got a team-up with Skeletor, and has a Season 2 to do his own thing now. Nothing was irredeemably harmed. Hell you could say things are better for him since everyone of importance now knows his secret.
Something the 2021 2d animated version lacked was the timing. In all other versions, Adam says "I have the power" after becoming He-Man. But in this one, he says it before becoming He-Man.
Wow the 2021 one reminds me of sailor moon. Combined with the "reusable sailor moon sequence" reference Rick and Morty just made, this cracks me up because of how true that statement is for studios. Saves them money not to have to reanimate the same thing over and over.
Is Not A Secret Because All My Beloved Family, All My Close Family Friends, All My Friends And All Knows! I Love All Motu&Pop Ever (From My 1976)And Forever Until My Death In Whole My Life! (BY CELUYUEM VIMO ALIAS CESARE VIVI THE ITALIANO 🇮🇹)!
Superman and Batman themes are iconic and always stays the same even with the new more modern-day updates.... But why do the people working on all the new He-Man never ever understand that simple concept.
2002 I agree. Revelations though... If course the animation is better since there is a 40 years old gap with the originals but using the sailor moon formula is a turn off...
The other transformations had some good visual effects, but the original has a feel that just can't be touched, and the animation of the original filmation version can still compete today.
