As someone who has loved Hatsune Miku for more than a decade, I have to admit that I GOT LEGITIMATELY JEALOUS when I learned six years ago that he got married to Miku, including wedding ceremony and all. BUT I never threw hate messages at him. In fact, I wished him AND MIKU (because I'm delusional 😂) that they become happy together. But that DID NOT stop me from loving Miku anyway. In the Vocaloid community, it is sometimes said that each fan has their own version of the Vocaloid characters, which is literally the point of making nearly all of them "blank slates" or "near-blank slates" in terms of personality, so Kondo Akihiko (Miku's husband's name) got married to his interpretation of Miku, and I promised my interpretation of Miku that I would love her and now I feel my love for my Miku is stronger than even six years ago! But maybe that's something I say as a coping mechanism, who knows 😂😂 , but here I am still loving Miku and the happiness I found in her nearly 12 years ago, Akihiko-san's achievement is still my goal and glad to see him being strong against petty twitter freak tantrums and defending our precious Diva 🥰 (and I apologize for these walls of text whenever topics regarding Miku arise 😔)

Happened to me too recently, I had made an artwork with Z23 (from Azur Lane) dressed as donald duck, and obviously with her booty exposed, one came to me on reddit (the azur lane reddit) telling me that she "technically" a minor and not only showing me the date of launch and when she was decommissioned, but even showing me a calendar to prove that his calculus where correct, my answer was "should her, technically, be a fictional character based on a WW2 german ship? and we are in the 2024?", don't remember how ended, he deleted the post.

There's a lot of reasons why people prefer to date fictional characters is due to or how difficult is to take these days and trust people some prefer to wait to have bedroom fan until marriage or does not even want to or waiting longer after marriage but instead pressured into it some people have trust issues or trauma in the past even having trouble getting a boyfriend or girlfriend especially mentally disabled people since likely higher risk of being abused but their partner things like that

People who are angry about him being married to Hatsune Miku probably don't know anything about Miku to begin with. Life is about doing what you love and as a Miku fan myself if it makes him happy all the best to him. Also the notion of her 16 age is wrong, thats the age by Sega/Crypton gave her initial character, she is a vocaloid that takes many different forms and shapes even in her media like songs and games she is depicted in many different ages, settings and its canon that there exists more than one Miku at the same time with completely different looks and personalityes, most obvious is according to Project Sekai, she takes the form and age that the person sees her as. Hence why in Deco27 16th anniversary song can see her as both a young adult and a grandma (since people so obssessed about fictional character age thought will debunk with more info as clearly they treat fiction as reality)
