This special Mexico Q&A is with my husband, Taylor! We talk about how he started working remotely from Mexico PLUS advice for someone struggling to learn Spanish, his picks for best/worst Mexican beer, the place everyone in Guadalajara should visit & more! TIMESTAMPS in the description 🤓
Excellent!! Thank you for answering my question. Taylor's remote work transition keeps me motivated to push myself to learn to code and someday move to Mexico.
By the way, Alex, there is another Michigan native living in Jalisco. She also has a youtube channel. Her story is interesting. I follow her channel, too.
Great video. I liked it how honest Taylor was that it wasn't easy studying to be a developer and applying for work and it sounds like it took a couple of years for him to nail a job he liked. He mentioned putting his US address on his resume to at least not be immediately disqualified from applying for a job. I assume that included putting a US phone number on it too? Is there any particular company you recommend for buying a reliable US phone number from? I was surprised to hear him say that studying Spanish for just 5 minutes a day could make a big difference - this is very motivating! Thanks Taylor!
Nice video, it helped with understanding the job market and how to get into companies. I'm making a pivot right now into project management and am hoping that I have similar success.
@@alex-wittmanhi, this is very good video! My husband is also in the IT field and knows all that languages. We wonder how to start freelancing as Taylor did, we live in Canada but planning to move to México. Thank you in advance for sharing and answering 😊
@@jess92850 He started freelancing by finding jobs on Upwork. He found a few contractor gigs there and several actually turned into a full-time job offers! I recommend checking out the first interview we filmed together for more insight on the start of his journey: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_52NVr3CqqQ.html
Can you spell out Taylor’s favorite music again, and clarify if he mentioned the band or songs? I have a Mexican music Spotify list…helps with learning Spanish!
Hi, I have braces and I’ve dentist appointment every four weeks to get them checked and I live in Canada, but the problem is I want to move out of Canada to Mexico. I don’t know how I’m gonna do that with braces because I can’t fly back to Canada for them to check my braces like I don’t know what to do now
I've had a really great experience with dentists both in Queretaro and Guadalajara. I second what the other commenter said that you can easily find a dentist in Mexico & one that speaks English if necessary.
