To cut the line between them and their identity and their past life. This isn't new. This is what their ancestors did to my ancestors. Did you know that before European slavery, the Arabs enslaved many African people? All Islamic African countries were enslaved by the Arabs at one point. That is why you see these ethnic groups that look mixed between black and arab because THEY ARE. The Sudanese, Ethiopian, Mauritanian people etc. Mauritanian people are mostly mixed between Senegalese and Mali people and the Arabs that enslaved us. The arab people used to come into their villages. They would rape all of the women and kill the men. The men who survived were castrated and forced to work to death. The constant rape is what birth the population of many Mauritanian people.

Unfortunately, we are so insulated from reality that while unnoticed, the basic needs of 100 of millions go unaddressed. No great leaders exist who are in a position to speak of a better world for the least of us, so such stories will persist. Still, there is hope as long as we can find love at some level in our hearts. I know I'm a bit solemn, but what more can I say? It's sad what poor victims must do. Thank you for this recap.

Most people don't just have 10k ready, they start the journey with nothing and then family members are forced to support/free them. In most cases family sell all of their belongings just to help their son or daughter. Overall this puts a lot of hardship into all involved. I hope our people stay in Africa
