I personally don't use profanity, and usually prefer not listening to it, (mainly because it is overused and has little to no meaning left) but this song is different. I prefer the unedited versions. Maybe it's because I believe what he is saying so strongly, but I feel the edit waters down the message. Now I fully understand and can appreciate why he needs to have a PG version, but my personal preference is the original. Please don't take my message as hate towards Mr Lewis. I have the highest respect for him and this song.

Amen Shawn, I’m proud of my almost 8 years in the Navy. It was by faith I survived my time in the Navy and since then I’ve survived a stroke a blood bacteria and lymphoma cancer, only by the Grace of God am I still alive today. I thank God for every new day. We are never promised tomorrow. I had God by me every day. When I found out that I had cancer my 2nd thought was, “ OK God, how are we going to get through this?”
