NEW SERIES!
So I became a Director of Football in FM as opposed to a manager. In today's video, I've got us up to the January transfer window of season 4 - Will Still's second in charge as head coach. In short, he's working absolute wonders and surprising me with some of the results he's achieving as well as some masterstroke tactical decisions - such as retraining Harry Kane to a CM!

Retraining to a new position cost a lot of CA. His attributes had to go just from that.

As much as I've been hating on Kane these past few videos, I'm totally digging him as a CM. Great attributes for a midfielder and he seems to be performing better.

I would offer Sesko out on a loan, chunk down his wages as well, gives him time to develop. Edwards needs to go, he's not gonna get a look in. Mac Allister should be sold, another player that's not getting gametime. Loan out Silva as well, if he's not getting much game time.

I think Silva is needed still as 4th choice but the others I agree with, would have to be the right loan for Sesko though

I think 40 minutes is a good limit for the episodes. Around 30 minutes works best tho imo.

I wouldn't mind hour long episodes hahaha But what I would really like is seeing more matches, at least 1 or two per episode even if it means the season is slower .... I do like Colon as new goalie btw. Thank you for the episode !!

That Carabao Cup 2nd leg is typical Spurs 😂, I was for selling Kane but with him now being played as a CM I’m fine with keeping. Colon looks a great young keeper. Let’s hope Will Still can bring that prem home.

If you don't sign Colon then you do need to check on him every few years, just incase.

An easy final for spurs, they must only avoid losing 3-0 in semis, they Lost 3-0, they go to pens, if kuluveski score the fifth pen they win, he misses, 5 mins later spurs Lost carabao semis, somethings like being spursy never changes

berley even into video, but on the Kane debate, Unless someone offers sill money for him i'd be offering him a new 1 year deal with an automatic extension if he plays x number of games, maybe 20? could also give the club an optional year extension, unfortunately kanes at that stage where his contract is to short to be receiving mega money for him imo but you also dont want to be losing that kind of calibre player, even if his legs only allow him to be a backup. and lets not start the whole homegrown debate shall we clayts :D

Fun Fact: Etienne Green is named by his parents after Saint Etienne where he is born and the nickname of ASSE is ‘Les Verts’ -> The Greens. He is perfect for them namewise. In real life he played due to financial issues at the club, but not sure if he is highly rated. Bun perfect name for the perfect team

Hi clayts since the links to nagelsmann I have been running some experiments 1 is I have used the pre game editor to put nagelsmann coaching staff at spurs and I take over and I am currently turning kane into a att mid on att with son upfront and the goals is insane between them after 10 games they have a combined 30 goals contributions that's goals and assists. I think on fm it's kanes best role as playing him upfront and son on left they don't do any thing at all and I have struggled for a few fms to get the best out of them but this is insane

You got it right with the MacAllistar option to buy. If they activate it they will pay the initial fee and then the installments on top of that over the years. Its kinda weird we don't see that in the in clauses during the loan but you will see it when he is bought.

I'd sell Osimhen in the summer if you win the league. It might sound mad but if you've achieved your aim it buys time if you finish next season 2nd with Sesko up front cuts loads of money off the wage bill you'll get loads for him sort the club finances right out and put yourself in a really healthy place for the future.

I understand you need to keep the series interesting for the viewers and all, but any chance u could give new players more time before selling them off like Edwards and Macalister? It would be way more fun to see how they develop over time and seeing their places in the squad fluctuate through the seasons and see players become stalwarts or flops and what not. At the end of the day its spurs so even the best DOF in the universe can't actually expect trophy challenges every season so a bad season or two would be a cool thing to see as well
