Maybe if you pair the red chequer to the recessive red hen, you get more the kind of bird you want. If they both got a good physique you can give it a chance. I have some youngsters from a speed cock and a long distance hen and this year one of them flew the first prize against 5400 pigeons on a 540 km flight.
Isn’t that too much inbreeding to actually be successful racers? They might be Oke breeders but I once heard that’s too close to fly, what u guys think?
In SA they fly Red Jurions there are some famous red Goodgers like Ruby and then there is Hamiltons Grange - that was a super Pigeon - check out the last Adelaide Springs Winner Awesome - off her - Saggers had a line of Reds that flew well - Tricky Game - some of the Old Time flyers - keep lines of reds going off - old stuff
