Ok. Here is a thought: Who knows if he is in a 12 step, but there is a saying in AA/NA "you're only as sick as your secrets". Maybe he's sober now? In any case, Manson is a brilliant, perhaps disturbed artist. Personally, a long time ago I had to just make an uneasy peace with the fact that sometimes we have to separate the artist from the man.
I as a fan of his a long time appreciate his creep factor it is not for the uninitiated. If you've never seen "Sweet Dreams" "Beautiful People' and then complain his art for this video is creepy, you can't appreciate this form at all Also I hate to be another fan who tells you what to believe, or whatever... he is innocent in comparison to a Forged FBI letter his Ex delivered as "Evidence" to court. She lied on video too. But as the antist art goes, it is supposed to make you shrivel in discomfort because he wants you to feel that way. Real art does that and the mere fact we are not appreciating on the reaction is "He's too creepy" no he's touching that part in your head and heart, and you met it half way with whatever you bring with you from your own side. If you're creeped out, your expectations are going to be met.
Alice Cooper did it, Screaming Jay did it, Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie (in a humorous way) all did this same theater only MM is more creep factor in his earlier works. and has been lacking in art as of late in music too.
The imagery and show of the band in general is ment to be fairly off-putting to people obsessed with a look that is supposed to be. Basically, if you cant look past the ugly and see the great music under it all, Manson would really rather not have you as a fan. Its a test most fail.
