I had this sung at my nine-year-old son s funeral in 1999. I would listen to it almost everyday before he died. Didn't know it was preparing and strengthening me for my son's accident.😢 God is still in control and faithful!
Never knew this song.....but God led me to this out of my desperation. That fateful night of February 28, 2014 when we learned that our only daughter had a cancer. Last time they had this case, the exact location, was back in 1978. Shook the core of my being. I did not lose faith, but i was desperate to understand whats happening. Around 3-4 am, with fear grasping my heart, I prayed so deeply to God, to give me understanding to accept His plans. Then after praying, I open RU-vid to listen to music...and this was the first one that came up. I listened to it...i cried like a baby. The song expressed whats in my heart. AND all of a sudden, I felt peace, HIS PEACE that surpasses all understanding. My daughter after 5 years, emerged victorious over her CA. She's enjoying her life because of God's grace.

The most inspiring part of the story behind Carol writing this song to me is that she wrote it BEFORE her daughter, who had strayed so far from the Lord, returned to Him, and came home. Carol wrote this in the midst of her storm, not AFTER the waves of fear had subsided and the skies had cleared. Carol wrote this song in utter faith.
I knew Carol wrote the song but this is the first I've heard the testimony behind the song. First time I ever heard the song was in 1997. My cousin who had been attending Brooklyn Tab let me hear the song about two or three weeks before I had to go to court over custody of my son. All that day in court, with my nerves on edge, heart in my throat, I kept singing to myself over and over, "Though in my heart I had questioned, even failed to believe, yet He's been faithful, faithful to me." It was the only part of the song I could remember and I couldn't get it out of my head. The Court did give custody to my ex, who had lied every which way possible, but the Lord had told me to hold my peace, it was His battle - and so I did. The Lord brought me through those nine years, although they were soooo very painful. But I stood in faith that God is sovereign and had a reason for this test. I learned to be still, seek God and trust Him all the more. Eventually God showed me His wisdom and reason why He allowed it to happen that way. When it was all over, the presence of God in my life was and has continued to be so powerful. That experience, along with many others, has brought me to a place of surrender and trust in Christ. Since then, I've been blessed to be able to minister this same song in church and at other functions. Many folks may not understand total obedience to Christ, even in these types of life-altering situations. I can testify, obedience is better than sacrifice, and God is always, and in all ways F-A-I-T-H-F-U-L.
I am now 50 years old and I haven’t listened to this version in a really long time, it’s still one of my favorite songs and when I testify or even when I pray I still speak of GOD’S goodness and faithfulness to me. A sinner so undeserving of it, yet HE’S always there. Thank You JESUS!!!
Every time I hear this song, I think of all the times I failed God yet He kept His hand on me. This song reminds me of my unworthiness and His faithfulness. All I can do is weep in gratitude of his tender mercies. Great is His faithfulness!

Three years ago I lost an ear to cancer. Three months ago I almost lost my son, blood clots, diabetes, weak heart, and high blood pressure. The Dr's had to remove his right leg. Then found out he had colon cancer, they removed it. He spent 7 weeks in the hospital. Two weeks ago we found out my wife has breast cancer. If it wasn't for God and His faithfulness through it all it would have been so easy just to throw in the towel. This song is so true. Praise HIM!

Grace and peace! I’m from Brazil and in 2004 I listened tis song after reading the book. I had just accepted Jesus and The Lord replaced me in another job. It was for me a big challenge. I had to flight to France many times a year and on the first time I went there I rented a car. When I drove towards the company I listened this song. Today, May 24th 2024, listening again brought me joy in my heart: He’s been faithful to me. Thank You Lord for your mercy, your grace and your love.

I went through sexual abuse as a child and was abandoned by both parents. I came to God in 1988 and even though I was baptized in the Holy Ghost (Spoke in tongues) I was not a pleasant person to be around. It took God a while to bring healing to my emotions but he did! In all those years of me giving God abuse for my abuse I suffered he was faithful!!!!!! I love him so...............

This song was placed on my heart by The Power of The Holy Spirit in the year 2008 after I had received a call that at the time my 11 year old son was knocked down . He had stopped breathing twice, GOD so gracious, merciful, knows all things, in His infinite mercies, The Lady that by accident knocked down my Son was a Nurse by profession performed Mouth to Mouth resuscitation. What an amazing GOD, on time, worthy of all praise.

There's something genuinely special about this song! There are tons of great worship songs out there but this one stands out as one of the true greats. I think what makes it so special is that most everyone can personally relate to it. We've all failed Him at times but His faithfulness never fails us even when we don't understand certain circumstances. This song is truly anointed. Growing up in a communist country, I had no idea there was a God who loved me and was faithful to me. I came to Christ when I was 28 years old and it was such a revelation of how much He loved me, even when I was not faithful to Him. I’m 49 years old now and I love Him more each day. The longer I serve Him the sweeter He becomes to me. I love Jesus with all my heart.
I love this song ,He truly has been faithful to me on February 4th ,2018 I had stroke right brain bleed the left side of my body was paralyzed and I’m fighting every today to gain my life back ..I regained movement of my leg and arm but still suffer with numbness in my hand and foot and spacity in my leg , I can walk with a hemi walker .then we found out my daughter had breast cancer , my brother in law colon cancer .I lost my Two dogs I absolutely loved but through it all God has been faithful to keep me in perfect peace without him I could not do this everyday it’s to hard ..Would you pray for me ?. I gave my heart to the Lord 1988. I was a member Brooklyn Tab. for 10 years. I couldn't understand why the Lord. Had me travel from New Jersey to Brooklyn. It was the anointed church that was in. Many today ask me you are anointed. Now I know God was preparing me. For what I am today. Still servicing 30 years latter. Amen
In my darkest trial I sang this song in Giessen Germany Chapel. The Chapel is no longer here but the COVID 19 virus is and when we are allowed into my Church I will sing it again. Oh yes God returned your me my health, mind, soul, and my two babies who are wonderful women now. It’s been over twenty years now. Thank you Carol for your faith. Been to many churches in my life, NYC you can visit one every few blocks. I walked one day past the old one church on Fulton. Everyone that left seemed genuinely happy , they all had big smiles. I wanted what they had, and was going to do anything to get it. The women noticed I was sad but curious, she gave me the times of services. The first time I was in a “spirit filled” church. It was infectious I was there every week. One afternoon I like so many before me I made an alter call. The pain was more then I could handle. Imagine a choir of @ 250 ppl laying hands and speaking in tounges. God had that planned all along it jist built up inside and I began to heal. The difference of a happy singing spirit filled church changed my relationship with God ppl and Jesus Christ. I will always have a special place for Jim and Carol and the choir at BKlyn Tabernicle in my heart.

I was kidnapped and abused as a young child before I accepted my LORD but HE was with me, protecting me that night. After I placed my trust in the LORD, I have failed HIM so many times and even went so far astray I actually heard my LORD say...THAT IS ENOUGH. i WILL NOT LET YOU GO ANY FURTHER. As a parent, I could see myself doing that to my kids so talk about HIS faithfulness. how...how can I not LOVE HIM? When I go "home" I want this sung and the gospel given in order for others to learn HIS faithfulness also.
I always knew of the power that God gave me but I threw it away to overwork,drugs,new clothes,cigarettes..etc.In 2011 I went through 4 code blues and seizures,3 week coma,months in the hospital..I had foot drop,I lost 72 pounds and all of my muscle mass.I had to learn everything over again.I overcame a walker,wheelchair and leg braces,15 different take home meds.. One day while in my ICU room.I looked at the wall to my right and I noticed a red storage door there.Then I seen it roll straight to the top.I could see the floor and the steps beginning to descend down.I hear "Jeff it's your time." I looked at each arm and noticed a iv bruise..I then was trying to run from death.I said "Oh sh*t I'm not going."Then I hear "Jeff if you don't come,someone is going to come get you and kick you down these stairs."That's when I cried out to the Lord."Jesus save me."That red storage door rolled straight down. I went to a convelescent hospital on December 11, 2011 where I was supposed to get my full physical therapy.I was only there for 8 days.On the 6th day.The physical therapist put me in my wheelchair and brought me to the physical therapy room.She locked my wheelchair in front of a pedal bike machine..I only used it for about 45 minutes then went back to my room. On the 8th day I went to my mom's house where I stayed for about 4 to 5 weeks.I was walking again by the time that was over.2012 about March or so I completed my physical therapy.2013 I had my 2nd tumor removed.Tumor of my aorta.I should have been gone again.The doctors cut my stomach open about 15 inches.Now the doctors are making sure the tumors and cancer don't spread to my brain. Since 2011 I have been suffering with neuropathy from my shins or calves down to the tops of my feet to the ends of my toes.Please pray for me.I also have been suffering from asthma for the past 3 weeks.Pray I receive new lungs and a healed broken heart.My chest is congested.
The first time I heard this song I could not understand the words she was singing it sounded mono toned. Then a day came that I was so destitute back in 1983 and the Holy Spririt ministered to my spirit! I have been on the mountain and I lived in the valley, yet "God Has Been Faithful.(Yes) to Me"! This is a song for all times, all saints through every phase of the journey. He is with us when we are strong, then he is closer when we hit the wall and slide all the way down! He lies on the floor ans says , "ARISE, this is not your resting place"! I praise God for BTC and Damaris they have encouraged many a weary worn traveler to look at the faithfulness of our God and to continue on.

And I want to also share His goodness with anyone who may be going through a situation in your life , Jesus is the answer. Give your life to him , you will never be disappointed.
