This is a great song. This was a wonderful era of quality music. I love hearing John P Kee's young voice on here. That choir sound is so meticulous. Thanks for posting. I played this for my radio audience this (Sunday) morning.

Your Edwin Hawkins posts are the BEST EVER. KEEP them coming. You can really appreciate the album art and incredible vocals of the leads and magnificent choir. The memories are just as vivid as your care to detail. Wonderful.

Dave Hollister sang the first few lines of this song in his episode of "Unsung," and I sat up straight because I hadn't heard it in so long. I remember when Love Center was on MacArthur Blvd around from my family's church Cornerstone on 38th in Oakland.
This song popped up in my head and I couldn't remember who sung it but I felt like I SHOULD have! Then I Googled it and BAM lo and behold Edwin Hawkins which I'm sure my Grandma had this album(she use to have all the Hawkins music). Memories!

This was one of my many favorites. I remember the rehearsals that week and how John envoked "though there are times..." at 1:32 after he sang the second verse to que us to come in bcuz we kinda kept missing it..LOL. Much love to the late Edwin Hawkins and Walter and Joel. Good Times. Great song John. I love that classic EHMAS groove it has, too.
