I've always believed the front kick could be a tremendous weapon.

The way he moves, he can distribute his weight like khabib but EVERYWHERE! Khabib a master with weight distribution when it comes to wrestling but striking he wasn't anywhere near as graceful, this kid is! I'm not joking, this kid might become he best mixed martial artist of our day! I honestly hadn't watched him this closely, I knew he was good but I didn't know he was this good! The move at 10:25 is pure art of movement! He balances on his face and then uses the swing of his legs to pivot, it's as insane as it is beautiful!

I thought with Khabib leaving i would lose that excitement of looking forward to MMA events but Umar has re-ignited my excitement. His kicking is on another level, wow.

I came from the year 3012 just to look back at the beginning of the strongest clan in existence. The Nurmagomedov. In my time they dominate the universe. They can spit fireballs, shoot laser from their eyes and fly at the speed of light. When a new Nurmagomedov is born the universe trembles and everyone can feel the overwhelming pressure of a new Nurmagomedov. Even as babies they eat blackholes. They are the ultimate singularities. Incomprehensible. Invincible. Phenomenon.

What I've learned about Umar is he's not there to specifically finish you. Although he will step forward with unbelievable strikes. He's there to methodically counter attack you with something better every time until the finish comes. No matter what you think you'll throw at him he'll one up you on the counter! He deserves so much respect for his talents.

This man will be champion one day, I'm excited for the rest of his journey. His striking and wrestling are 2nd to no one.

I know he has a strong Muay Thai background, but his kicking is developed beyond that. His fluidity, dexterity and lead leg techniques have an almost karate-like quality. If he can reliably combine that with the patented Khabib-style wrestling, his dominance over a wide distance range could become even more impressive.

What I realized about all of the dagestani, and a lot of fighters from eastern europe is that they don't really do anything special, but rather they+re able to keep the same pressure for the whole 25 minutes and it just so happens that that pace is greater than the max pace of most fighters
