I think Asal wore him out in the first 2 games and Hesham had nothing left. That combo of extreme power hitting, accuracy, touch, and physicality is so tough. I've been critical of Asal in the past, but what a performance this was. Looked like he cleared well and played fair. Hopefully he can hold this form in future, win or lose. Great player!

Asal showing a good deal of maturity with that win. Back to the drawing board for Hesham, fitness was the factor for him.

Such a shame that both Hesham and Hammamy were clearly out of gas after their marathon semifinals. Hesham especially who basically couldn't move after the second. I've watched this sport long enough to know that after brutal matches like they had, you're toast the next day no matter how fit you are. Still, a valiant effort by both of them and congrats to Asal and Sherbini.

Wonderful to see the incredibly gifted Asal playing with maturity. He could be a great of squash.

Asal is all over the place, it's like there's no spot he can't reach.

She called it right in game 2, that in the long run the rallies were good for Asal. It’s impressive Hesham won that game, as much as Asal was dominating the T, but too tiring, no doubt the match with Elias contributing.

I would be ashamed to leave two games like crazy wrist Hesham left them. But of course, those who study this sport will say that he was injured or some other nonsense.

When it's all said and done, Asal may be looked at as one the best players to ever play this game, and possibly the best one ever.
