Last I checked, the reason Gaijin doesn't include scouting in rank 1 is that they don't want to overwhelm new players with controls and abilities. Which is dumb, because scouting is probably one of the easiest mechanics to understand and even if you don't understand it, it's harmless (unlike arty, which is also on rank 1 vehicles)
It's also one of the most useful mechanics in the game, one that people really, really need to use more often. There's no reason not to do it, it's not like WT tells scouted players they've been scouted, you get an assist if they die, you get points for them even being hit, and it generally helps you and your allies keep track. But that'd mean working together as a team, and working together as a team isn't how to play WT.
@@maledetto1221 very true, but Gaijin already solidly stated their dumb position on making the grind more bearable during their talks about parts+FPE “buh if We made da grind 2 ez, y not giv every1 free Abrams!!?!!”
@@themos9751 not to be that guy, but scouting is probably one of the most beneficial things your teammates can do. knowing where an enemy is is the difference between life and death sometimes. totally agree with you though
My wonderful girlfriend passed away last week. I was hoping your videos would help, but it just seems hopeless sometimes. Love and cherish every minute you get with your family. Life is a dumpster fire. Thanks for all the time and effort you put in.
This brings me back to memories of Call of Duty 2 days. Being a British squad in North Africa needing to escape a German regiment taking over the village your division just evacuated from and you guys are the last ones out, being chased around by one of these before taking over one yourselves and making a getaway…
THANK YOU!!!! the entire point of the sdkfz 222 is SCOUTING, i was looking forward to using it at like 4.0 where its still viable as an spaa but also use it as a utility vehicle....low tier should also get scouting ability
Back in the day, I saw this tank for the first time in Call of Duty 2, shooting the gunner out and jumping in with Cpt. Price for an action-packed ride was a pleasant experience I'll never forget.
T1E1 tank next! 37-43kph for both forward AND reverse gear, while still maintaining the same characteristics as the M6A1. One exception is the dual .50cals on the chassis is fixed to only the vertical axis unlike the M6A1's
Nice video love your work. Trees, two types deciduous-leaves fall off and non deciduous- leaves do not fall off- most evergreens like pine trees, they do drop some needles. Interesting note, you must spray pine trees when watering them, wet needles tells tree water is available, stop drought mode. Otherwise it will not soak up water.
Thing is that vehicle wasn't even SPAA IRL, it was a scout car for armoured recon platoons attached to Panzer divisions. The 20mm was predominantly used against infantry and light vehicles WITH a secondary AA capability. Speed, mobility and firepower were it's primary assets to engage and disengage from fights.
Phly, would definitely love to see the newest Italian Battleship (RN Duilio), mostly curious about it and as far as my knowledge goes it wasn't mentioned too too much
lmao i love how other war thunder youtubers play something like a top tier fighter jet or tank and save this stuff for last or dont even cover it and then here you are with ur first vid on the update
thank you Phly for every single video. sincerely my life has gotten better since you started posting again , watching your videos before i go to sleep( i live in EU ) really thank you Phly.
Imma have to grind both of these. For Germany and China, while I contemplate grinding the F-16AJ because that’s gonna be a pain to grind. It wouldn’t take long, but it’s tedious.
Man, the first time I saw this thing was one of the missions in Call of Duty Big Red One a loooooong time ago. When I started warthunder I always wondered if they'd ever add this very vehicle. And now it's here. It's not my favorite or anything it's just...brings memories you know
8:35 this is why i genuinely think phly is one of the most experienced people in the game bc he legit called the vehicle just by the sound of its engine and transmission
