Jay P smh...whats really sad is the fact a woman has to feel like this. If games didn't exsist no one will have to worry about who's with who being hurt behind a man that isn't yours in the first place.
Everyone is talking about the lyrics. But this girl can really sing!! The 90's was an era where you had to be able to sing to make it. So I'm just appreciating her voice because there is absolutely no standard in music today when it comes to actual vocal ability.
NOTE: This is just a song. If lyrics were only about people doing the right thing , there would be NO songs. It's fun as hell to sing along to. Just enjoy it ,dammit!
Me at 16 listening to this song: “Ayeeeeee!!” (singing along and snapping my fingers) Me much older listening to the same song: “Wait........WTF??” 😳😂😂😂😂😂
20 yeas later we went from " He's Mine" to " My man is my man is your man,Her, this her man too My man is my man is your man Her, that's her man…, " lmao
The boy is mine... Brandy & Monica we've been in this space for awhile. Lol!!! I'm just say let us both have him n live under same roof. Cuz shit will never stop
The song is speaking more towards the mistress than the infidelity itself. In the lyrics they made a point to state "not to fall in love with a man who don't love you". While most would argue that if a man truly loved a woman he would not cheat on her, he definitely does not love the woman that he used just for sex. He comes back home presumably before midnight because the lyrics state "didn't stay too late". The woman is not condoning the infidelity, she is merely addressing the other woman. We may even be able to assume that it was a one time thing and the other woman won't leave him alone.
She is just trying to reassure herself that she isn’t the fool. Ladies, we all have been there. Make excuses for the man that we “love”. Both were played fools
Still bumping into the 2022, this is my era of music. Feels good going back to my childhood. I didn’t know what I was singing, I had an idea but hell I was just singing it and it felt good. Cheers to our wonderful childhood memories! 🥂
MISSUNIQUE these young ass bitches be the ones whi have no fuckin clue what they tslkin about if only they knew how ill this song was listening to it on tbe radio on a friday and every car in traffic would bump this shit and im a thug nigga! and this shit is realer than most trash rappers nowadays nit even comparing it ti r&vmb cause the mid 90s was on another level 💯
He might be doing you But he's thinking about me, So baby think about another lover And go find another brother. I know he's my man He's all in my hands If feels good when he calls my name Don't you wish you had the same Feeling disgust, working your stuff Till he thinks about mine Now he's feeling real high You ask why 'Cause he's mine Tell you something That just ain't cool Never fall in love with a man Who don't love you I wouldn't waste my time telling you something wrong You've been with him one night And now he's coming home [Chorus:] He's mine You may have had him once But I got him all the time (you can't sleep at night) He's mine You may have had him once But I got him all the time (don't try to dry your eyes) He's mine You may have had him once But I got him all the time (I got him all the time) Went out on a date Wasn't out too late Took you to a room And you gave it up too soon Played you like a trick 'Cause you let him hit Now he's coming home to a lover That is strong I got all his love baby don't try to take it You wanted a piece, you were mistaken 'Cause he belongs to me Baby can't you see I tell you something that just ain't cool Never fall in love with a man Who don't love you I wouldn't waste my time Telling you something wrong You've been with him one night And now he's coming home [Chorus:] He's mine You may have had him once But I got him all the time (He's mine) [3x] We don't have time Playing these games You had him once But it's me on his mind No need to cry Go dry your eyes Get over it It was only for one night oh [Chorus:] He's mine You may have had him once But I got him all the time oh (He's mine) [3x]
I love it and this is song is so true. Why trying to hold on to a man that don't want you? Get over it. Whoever thinks this song is dumb, you don't know nothing about love and you got some growing up to do to become a mature adult. If you are 21- over and you still immature about this song or anything else relates to love speaking the truth, you are pathetic.
Still listening to this song in 2018... I feel this song💯💯 but no woman should stay with a man if hey cheated on her & vice versa!! If a person has to worry about their relationship they shouldn't be in it!!💯💯 Life is too short to be stressed out!!💯💯🤷
OK I GOT A HOOD TALE TO SHARE, WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SONG.... LOL i remember i was 13 when this song came out and i liked a dude that lived next door to me, who EVERYBODY wanted. He knew that i was deeply into him and i knew he was into me but we wasnt all out in the open with it, but my girls knew how i felt about him. He and i would talk on the phone at night or sit outside and talk, when everybody was in the house. Anyway, one of the chicks that was my so-called friend started dating him and had sex with him (i was still a virgin and he respected me for that)... This chick thought she was THE SHIT after she got with him, and she started walking around me acting funny like she was The Queen B or some shit, and that pissed me off to the max, but i couldnt react because it wasnt like he was boyfriend. He eventually broke up with her, and around the time it happened, she was all sad and still chasing him, but she still had the nerve to come and chill with everybody else on my porch everyday after school. One day I had the radio outside and this song came on. I turned it up loud and based on how i was starring her ass down, and the lyrics, EVERYBODY knew i was directing this song towards her... In my heart, that was my damn dude, and this song spoke what i was feeling. She felt that shit, and i didnt even have to say nothing. That was the ultimate payback, because he was sitting next to me when the song came on. LOL yeaaaah that was kiddy shit, but i DID THAT, and he peeped what i was doing and i could tell that he respected that shit. He was feeling me more after that. That chick hated me... Again we never got together, but for the next 10 years we had a deep chemistry and love for one another.... But shit im 32 y.o. married now and on chill.. lol I just think about that every time i hear this.
We have all played the fool no need to try to pretend when this song came out many related we were dumb but it is what it is we grew up and learned.....
In my 20's I was like he's mine all thinking I was the one. In my 40's I'm like . DA hell why I'm proud to have a dude who occasionally steps out. I was a fool. Lhh. But this the ole jam
Riiiiiiiiight 😅😅😂😂. I was SUPER young when this song came out. I used to be sanging this song like I knew better 😅😅😅😅. I'm 36 now I wish I would agree with this message in this song. But this is a nice record tho
Obviously he plated the girlfriend like trick because she Already knew he'd hit. And the fact that she Allows him too cheat and takes him back looks like a Trick to me. Woman these days.
I remember listening to this song as a child. I know all the lyrics and when it comes on I still yell "that's my sonnnnggggg!" However, i do not condone this message. As women we are taught that a primary goal in life is to find a man while men have the liberty to be involve with many women. As a result of this we women compete for men and slut shame other women. Ladies, we are not the enemy we are each others support. Hold men accountable for their actions and empower your sisters #feminist
Of course I do. Feminism is the reason why women have rights today. Women don't have to see each other as competition and fight for men. Women are taught that men validate their self worth and the more we steer away from this notion the less likely we are to compete for men.
This is the MAIN CHICK'S anthem, not the side. Whitney Houston's Saving All My Love For You was the SIDE CHICK'S anthem. You what's funny though, this could be the answer to Whitney's song with the main chick talking. I'm sure they didn't think about that though, but it would of been funny.
Lol!!!! Another good song that this track would actually be a reply to is Me'Shell NdegéOcello's If that is your boyfriend. Me'Shell would say: "If that is your boyfriend, he wasn't last night". Then Mokenstef would reply "He is mine, you may have had him once but I got him all the time".
I think y'all taking the song lyrics wrong . I believe its the love of his life anthem because ex girlfriends and other women from previous relations love to spark up old memories and sabotage new relationships . I take it as yes you've had him , but he's been mine and while he was with you he still knew there was another woman for him . I love this song .
+Sheena P Lol! 😂😂😂😂😂I don't know why I loved this song when I was kid myself but damn if this is not the ultimate side chick diss song!!!! Lls!!!! Mokenstef were some seriously loyal main chicks!!! Lmao! And Smdh
