He is staying in Minnesota. He has the old school mentality where they dont demand trade for easy championship. He craves for competition just like MJ and kobe
You folks sound so stupid. Y'all actually believe in your minds both those guys would've stayed down with an organization there entire careers had they not been given everything they asked for. Mike threatened to quit whenever he felt he wasn't getting his way. At one point even considered going to the Knicks, but the Bulls came through with what he wanted. Kobe demanded a trade, blew a 3-1 series pouting, and was looking for houses in Chicago where he was trying to go. Only reason he stayed was because they got 2 big men. You folks love to talk basketball with no context. Guys were not staying with organizations because they wanted to grind it out and were loyal. They stayed because they were given the most by these organizations. If you believe both of those guys would've gotten drafted to teams and stayed down losing for 20 years, youre flat out delusional. And if you think either player is going to any team and just winning, youre really delusuonal. Both guys have never done anything without Phil Jackson and the triangle offense. But they tend to get praise for being elevated by a system and now there's this whole fake narrative out there like it was all Jordan/Kobe despite Phil proving he could win without the other. There's a reason Kobe forced himself into the best possible situation on draft night refusing to play with the Hornets. These guys arent about loyalty. They want to win. And if an organization isn't moving at the pace they like, best believe they both would've left. Jordan/Kobe fans are the only people I know to see them both do things that exhibit the complete opposite of loyalty, but actually believe in there minds they were just loyal and grinding it out lol. One of the biggest lies in basketball.
@@5luelight726boston is still the far far better team regardless. Minnesota has the best defense just by stats, but boston has a top 3 defense and offense.
Minnesota fans would appreciate and love Ant and company more than almost anywhere else. Truly nice people that deserve some notoriety and happy times.
As a Wolves fan, I hope so KG leaving seems like something that could happen with Ant. The good news is, we’re getting good with Ant a lot faster than we did with KG
@@eezzzybucketz3855 People say things all the time, doesn’t mean they’re going to actually do it. Jordan had contracts just like any other player, and could’ve went anywhere at the end of his contract. He didn’t, he stayed and got it done there. Your point is irrelevant. You can bring up all the woulda, shoulda, couldas you want. It didn’t happen.
@@jonjoe89 he requested to management to be traded. They said no! Finally they built a team around him that could win games. Back then wasn’t like now with player freedom so if he could’ve forced his way out he would’ve been gone…same with Kobe. These two generations are completely different so trying to compare really doesn’t even make sense. It’s apples and oranges from the way players move off the court all the way down to the way they play the game. Most of it isn’t comparable
Ant is a young MJ in terms of play style, athleticism, and demeanor at this point. All that other stuff could come and it could not. This isn’t the 80’s or 90’s so the ability to dominate alone really isn’t a thing anymore. The overall landscape of talented players is too deep and it’s not as much a man to man league as it is a 1 on 1 league. The banishing of the illegal defense rule really changed the game.
I totally agree eezzz! He better not go to a team with a lot of vets. They will treat him like the vets did Poole at the Warriors and then Ant will deal with the competition and disrespect of they younger players who will not give him the ball.
@@marylallen1884Ain't no way on earth you comparing Ant to Poole 🤦💀😂 NGL bro I got done dirty too, I was actually better than Bron in high school but the older guys just decided to make him the chosen one instead of me >:(
@@imglub I didn’t say impossible. I said the odds are nearly zero. That is the safe bet considering the T Wolves have zero championships in the franchise’s entire existence.
Ant has repeatedly said that he isnt going anywhere, and doesn't want to play anywhere else. He said the only way hes playin somewhere else is if he's traded.
People been looking the next Jordan since he 1998, Wade, Kobe, Tmac, Iverson, Carter, Lebron, Grant hill, Penny have all fallen short of that comparison
@@eezzzybucketz3855Allen Iverson was better than Jordan and Kobe. Not trolling. I just observe well. Allen Iverson had the video game cheat code vibes. 🦸
@@ellenkirah3892 I’m from the 757 and I am AI biased all day. I’m not gonna say he was better than those two but it was for reasons he couldn’t control. If he was 6’5” I agree we’d be having a whole other conversation. Also he never learned how to use his teammates to set himself up. One on one face up he was by far better
I agree with everything he said except for leaving Minnesota. He should stay there and turn Minnesota into the next Dynasty. That's greatness! Not jumping from team to team but being able to compete with and destroy whomever steps on the court.
Minnesota loves him and deserves to build the culture of winning. No more quitting to build a team elsewhere, stay for the long haul and win a few rings for the north!
I agree i love AE. Wish the media would stop pushing Ja. Doesn't make sense they love gun toter when already have a guy not thugged out friendly band funny as hell. Great personality. Doesn't get in trouble. Nike will have some say on that thats why hes not face of league. NIKE CONTROLS THAT NARRATIVE.They gotta have their guy
If the best players are consistently going to leave small market teams to go elsewhere then whats the fucking point of trying to find stars? Reduce the league size to like 10 to 15 teams (hell maybe less) and let the cities that matter play.
Way too cold in Minnesota...not a fun place weather wise. Infound that out when i moved to Michigan, very beautiful but its cold waaaay too many months out of the year to actually wanna live there for a long time
That might actually sum it up. Lebron gets sad sad sometimes with interviews. Harden, Westbrook, AD and a lot more just turn into Divas with interviews. Kobe used to give psycho stair mad so that’s different lol. Steph never gets mad always happy.
Is this a joke? Edwards is a promising young player, but he’s a two time all star in four seasons. By Jordan’s fourth season he had a RoY, DPoY, MVP and two scoring titles (not to mention a NCAA title and Olympic gold medal). 😂
That is facts give him 3 years and everyone in the the United States will hear about him and especially if he goes far in the playoffs that will be great to graduate to be advertise his shoes. . His shoe name. Should be the. " FLY EDWARDS 1.0". Or " KING EDWARDS The 1st" first shoe " l. His 2nd shoe will be "KING EDWARDS The2nd". That is the nastiest shoe line names. And I hope Edwards see this
I think he’ll stay in Minny… nothing like seeing your star player stay with your team for the whole career… we had that in San Antonio with Timmy, I see Edwards as Duncan, Kobe, Dirk. One team, prob a couple of rings.
@@Lucas-tw1wxwith how good this team is, they all sticking around for at least 5 years. Minnesota is huge on sports, and everyone here is praising the wolves. They are the best team we've probably ever had, and if they left any times soon, they are all missing out.
I can see him leaving MN but only after he bring us one or a few championships. I can definitely see him going home to ATL. Aint like ATL got a great history either. So maybe he go there to bring something home. Or he stay in MN all his career. All depend on management.
Yes, he could be the next Michael Jordan. The playstyle and the tenacity are embodied in his DNA. But, he needs to cultivate his own mindset that will separate him from the pack. Kobe had The Black Mamba Mentality and Jordan had the Winners Mentality. I hope one day he can make his own. It's my happiness as a fan to see him succeed. Only thing I hope is he will finish this season without suffering critical injuries. I really like Ants playstyle, it graceful and poetic like the greats from the past and you know it who they are.
He’s not leaving mn anytime soon yeah maybe in 8-10 maybe 12 years from now but I don’t see Edwards going anywhere especially with where this team is at rn why would u give up playing on the top seed team in the west just bc it’s Minnesota pat bev really puzzles me sometimes with his thinking
This generation of players can not be compared to the greats in previous decades. These young players are playing a whole different style of basketball. Michael Jordan did not shoot three pointers. He was great and a chosen one playing in the NBA during his time. It is a different game today. No winning games today without making three pointers and playing against 6.9-7.0+ players today!? Ant Edwards isvplayingvin a different NBA. The NBA will have teams with 5 Ant Edwards and Jordan Pooles on one team. There is going to be just one super star on a team. There will be 5 superstars on a team or 5 Michael Jordans on a team! Jordan Poole is pioneering the way taking the hate and jealousy of veteran players stuck in the old way. Ant Edwards needs to stay with the Timberwolves because if he goes to another team with veteran players unlike Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, or LeBron, he will catch hell playing on these teams and all kinds of player disrepect, competition, and sabbotage!
Kevin Garnett left Minnesota for Boston and IMMEDIATELY got a ring with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen (i think). His contract was crazy. When you broke it down it was like $180K a game
What is small market anyway. Basketball is global. What does weather have to do with anything? They’re traveling and playing games all season anyway. Most players play for whatever team and live where they want in the offseason. It doesn’t matter. So if ANT plays for Mn that means he can’t sign a deal with some company?? What?? Small market means nothing these days. This isn’t the 90’s where your destination matters. If you play excellent basketball you win, when you win you become a star and you get everything that comes with it. End of story. Golden state was small market until they got curry and now they’re the most profitable/valuable team in the NBA
