I see a lot of comments saying both Jimin and Jungkook remind people of MJ. I can't agree that both remind me of MJ. I saw MJ from the beginning and people like myself, who saw MJ's teen years, don't compare Jimin to MJ, we know better. Jungkook and Michael are eerily similar in multiple ways. Unless you've seen both men perform live, and most of you have not, you won't understand how alike JK & MJ truly are. Jimin is a skilled dancer, but not in comparison to Michael. Prince, himself an excellent dancer, could not surpass Michael. It's okay to love Jimin, but please stop insulting Michael. Michael is called "The King of Pop," for a reason and streaming numbers have nothing to do with it. He was levels beyond what any of you have ever seen or experienced. JK is the first male artist since MJ with the potential to match him, but even JK is not there yet. If peoples feelings are hurt by the truth, so be it. Michael Jackson was a brilliant performer. Jungkook is well on his was to earning that distinction himself. I'm excited to watch JK's progression.

He’s JIMIN not Jung Kook. Jimin started out in dance. Became a singer later on. He did not receive vocal lessons during trainee period. Took lessons later on. Jimin & Jung Kook enlisted in the military at the same time so both are serving now. Jimin worked on both of his albums around the same time to be released at different times for ARMY, (fans).

Okay "fans" insisting that anyone compares with Jungkook is a waste of time and energy. He's the only male alive who has the potential to rival MJ. They are similar in too many ways to deny and Jungkook knows with more training he will reach that level of success. The greatest pop icons, eg MJ, Madonna, Prince, who were from MTV era, back when superstar aura could not be fabricated via video edits, all were extremely androgynous. Jungkook and JImin both join military same time in December of 2023. This is Jimin solo projects he did ahead of joining military. BUt Army is right Jimin is the king of kpop and king of dance moves. Sir, all of the BTS members are enlisted. This is one of his many pre-enlistment projects meant to be released during their time serving. In fact, he said that he recorded Muse right after his album Face. Also, why compare? Each member has their own style (Jimin’s autotune being a stylistic choice) and adds to the drama of the song. That’s not Jungkook’s style, but would definitely be cheering Jimin on for this, as all the members do with each other.

Military service in Korea is mandatory for all men by the time they are 28. K-pop artists can wait until they turn 30. Jungkook could have waited to enlist, but he chose to enlist at the same time as Jimin. The songs coming out now were all recorded before they enlisted. Jimin actually started this EP after their last concerts in the West. Jimin isn't trying to surpass Jungkook, that's not possible, but he does want to try Western pop since there are artist here he'd like to work with. They have their own lanes and that's a good thing.

You're not tripping, it reminds me of an 80's boyband song, but I can't figure out which one. It's a very young sounding song, an odd choice for a grown man talking about love. I really want Jimin to use his lower register more, but for some reason he doesn't. If you hear songs where he does like Paradise or Pluto you can see why I say this. Utilizing more of his lower range will strengthen his vocals and lessen the need for autotune. It's not fair to compare anyone to Jungkook since he's a virtuoso. He is the first male in my lifetime who has the potential to rival MJ. Them two are 'built different,' as we say on the block. Don't let these people worry you. Hm, I haven't watched yet, and the solos in the comments are making me roll my eyes, but just know that Jungkook and Jimin are best friends even among BTS, they literally enlisted in the military together (buddy system), they went on various trips together (just the two of them), they will have a show together (just the two of them) on Disney+ coming out soon as well, they are extremely close and none would try to "surpass" the other in any way (that's also true for the other members, but specially these two) It's like saying "is Sam trying to surpass Dean???" "Is Arthur trying to surpass Merlin????" "Is Sabo trying to surpass Ace????" like... no....

Everything you're seeing from Jimin now, the music, choreo planning, set up had been done & finalized EVEN BEFORE JK released Seven. Jimin's album MUSE post production was done by June and JK was the one who heard it first(Jimin had a Latin inspired song there BE MINE & JK said in his interviews promoting 7 he also wants to try Latin vibes songs. JIMIN doesn't copy anyone he gets inspiration from other great artist makes it his own AND they take from that. Look at 7 and Like Crazy choreo and you'll see how much was taken from LC.
In the history of bands there was always one that shined and in BTS it is Jungkook obviously! Jimin is where he is by company and fandom push on the other hand we have Jungkook that GP loves and listens to his music! The difference is like day and night!
