Unfortunately the masses do not appreciate music with such deep meaning and exceptional composition and without a giant corporation behind him he is not as well known and not played on radio stations etc. His concerts still attract thousands of Dears and his music has longevity plus he has millions of fans in China where they love and respect him ❤🙏
He does have 9million followers on Weibo. Those Chinese fans do not have access you youtube. Basically you have to review his followers from various platforms. Hopefully the western world will be on to him someday 'soon'.

He sang Samaltau for it last time from his home studio, I think. He studied Jazz, Opera, Pop, in amongst his graduating subjects at University. Being Asian, from the Great Steppe, he has Turkic influences. So you can see where he has combined the Arab and Jazz musics, …..and everything else known to man. This was absolutely "in one take" as it was live streamed to the festival. Something he has done in the past for the Tokyo jazz festival as well. The song was written by Kojj Tamaki, it is not from anime. You may have heard this song in 2017 at the singer competition. He sang it there in Mandarin under the title Autumn Strong. Last year for the Tokyo jazz festival he live streamed Samultau from his studio. This is a cover and this time he sings it in Japanese which was the original language the song was written in. Like it was said before in the comments here Toji Tamaki was the singer and composer of this song but it talks about Yoshiro Yamaguchi, she's a woman who left Japan during WW2 to live in China she was known as the Judy Garland of China and Japan. She changed her name in China and learn Mandarin people in China loved her. She was a good singer but no one knew of her Japanese origins. After the war her identity was revealed and the people who loved wanted her gone. She was deported back to Japan never to see China again.

Great reaction. The Japanese reactors say his pronunciation and articulation is spot on which is what the Chinese reactors said. That in and of itself is pretty amazing. I've watched in awe for 3+ years now and he continually works hard on the perfection of his craft. I think that many of his performances are masterpieces. You're right it's angelic quality.
