My whole family is musically inclined and one sister that sings professionally. I shared with them all because I thought the same thing. He's beautifully talented. No homo.
I will say the best unknown vocalist of this generation. What I mean by that is you can ask who Roy and Elvis are and the average person will know who they are and I'm pretty sure the same can't be said for Raul. Is that bad management, bad song choice, bad songwriting which Raul seems to do a lot of nowadays and the past 3 albums sound like a repeat of each other.
He is and has for years been the greatest American Vocalist in the business --- he sings every type of popular song with beauty and soul --- keep it on soul man
This just gave me chills...the best rendition I have ever heard...That voice!! I don't know who the people are that gave this a thumbs down...but, you need your ears checked....must be die-hard George Jones fans.
How have I never heard Raul sing this before now? George's will always be my favorite version but this...ain't shed tears like I just did when hearing it, not since George's passing.
What a great song-now that I’m a little. . . older now (cough!), I really appreciate ballads like this one. And I didn’t even like country music when I was a young girl. This one usually makes me cry a bit!
I just started listening to this guy the other day. I like his style and his humor. Thanks for sharing something so beautiful. Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain hooked me to his musical entertainment talent. I only wish my father could've heard him.
yet again here is this great singer RAUL MALO he has a real talent with is singing and is guitar playing he brings tears to me ever time I hear him god bless you RAUL MALO keep bringing joy to the world as the world can be a sad place to live in
Raul mi Hermano, Lost my husband feb 2, 2017, makes me miss him, but he's not in pain anymore. I always enjoyed your rendition of this song since the first heard you sing it. I hope you get this message. O.Garcia
As a vocalist, it is very difficult not to be influenced by the original artists rendition. Raul makes each classic song sound like it was his own creation. I can’t hear George at all, just Raul. So very difficult to do. Wonderful performance.
OMG... Raul never ceases to amaze me with his voice, he is truly one on the greatest Country Music voices out there today, I had the privilege to see them in concert and it was one never to forget.. and once again he hit it out of the park with this song. LOVE IT.
I have followed this band since 1989, seen them live met the band, no they never fail to be anything short of Truly FKN AMAZING, down to earth, all around great guys. I LOVE them,
Like I been saying for years RAUL MALO CAN SING ANYTHING. OF COURSE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER George Jones but Raul Malo can cover just about anything.
Raul is a true artist, with a great gift of a voice that he uses with passion, intelligence and soul. Best version of this song I ever heard. I'm a OK singer myself , but in my dreams I sing like Raul ;)
@@jerrybrown9976 I love George, too . IMHO, the most soulful singer in country music, this side of Hank Sr. And Vern Gosdin and Merle Haggard are not too shabby, either. Lotsa great ones. We are lucky to still have their recordings.
I 've seen Raul's solo show as well as the Mavericks many many times. All you do is smile and have a great time. You feel so good. I first saw them at a small club in Berwyn Ill. 2 1/2 hour show. They where touring for "Oh What A Thrill" album.
He Stopped Loving Her Today' no one has ever done it better than Rsul Wish he'd sing The Cowboy Rides Away. Great voice' surely one of the best' if not the best. So enjoy listening' only found him shortly ago. sure missed years of wonderful singing.
This song hurts my heart. My ex loved me forty years after our divorce, we were great friends but never failed to tell how much he loved me. He passed away this year and I know he is at peace now.
wow, that guy can really belt out those old jones songs. wow, I can't believe how good he does it too! Raul, whoever u are, try for an audition on the voice, u might just get to the golden buzzer and get yourself a recording label, that's a dream of mine too.
I just posted a reply(earlier comment they said best rendition of this song was Raul's).on this i disagree big time.GEORGE JONES ( RIP) owns this song....
