If you’re a smaller defender, the best thing to do when guarding guys like nitty is get in their chest, PAUSE! And force them to dribble, and drive, or shoot over you very contested, you can’t allow them to rock you to sleep and get into their spot in the mid range while you’re backing up, it’s gonna be a bad and late contest every time. It’s different if you know the guy can’t shoot, but when a guy like nitty who’s whole game is the midrange, GET IN HIS CHEST and make him pass the ball. EDIT: 21:17 - 21:27 is a perfect example, he isn’t taking steps back allowing nitty to get into his pocket and played up respecting the jumper forcing nitty to pass the ball! 😂 literally simple basketball.

Since they got on the court, the ref wall glaze, compare all the teams before them and see who got more calls, I thought I was watching a nba game for a moment. The Boss game was legit. Yeah the ref called a lot of fouls, but most of them were actual fouls. I recall one play when the dude with the dreads was literally holding Nitty's left arm and that's when the ref didn't blow the whistle. I think for the most part, the foul calls took the other team out of the game. This was about mental resilience. They got caught up in the calls and it took them mentally out of the game.
