Of all of Sammy's stories, the Johnny Keyes story is my all time favorite. It shows Sammy's honor, his respect and humanity. Even though Sammy was in La Cosa Nostra, he still had and has a moral compass and sense of right & wrong. He's not a sloppy man. All these people in here putting an absolute psychopath on a pedestal are out of their damn minds. If you've been around people like this in real life, you know the smartest thing you can do is to back away slowly and not have ANY business transactions with them whatsoever. The whole idea of honor and respect and a code is bullshit designed to rope people in. Then you're in a spiderweb. None of these people think straight.
@paulklein8556
@paulklein8556 8 месяцев назад
@ryanlynch290 Nah you're right but you have the wrong idea eith Sammy. Part of this is yo be open and honest about how this shit works. If we don't take time to learn and emphasize with people then we can't really prevent this shit. Who knows what Sammy could have done with his life. Definitely something better that 19 people killed. But again how many detailed accounts of mobster activities do we have like this. This type of honesty is gold. Also you're so quick to call people psychopaths and I agree a lot of them are. But at least Sammy has a lot of regret and you can see in each interview how torn up he gets about this shit. I'm not saying he's a Saint. Far fucking from it. @fitaddiction 369 The worst part about him is this, Look I am in no position to judge someone who testified and became informant, their facing life in prison, or possibly death on streets. Other times they legitimately have some type of remorse particularly with associates that were involved in a murder. However the fact is is he wasn't scared of prison, he was a product of the mafia, believed in it to his core he turned informant because he was so emotional his feelings were hurt over Gotti tapes, and him askng him to take the fall. Therefore he is the type of man who betrays everything he is, believes and values in life cause he's a little pissed off at a betrayal, well he didn't just take down gotti but the damn Gambino family at large.. Then he goes on shows and talks about how much of a real gangster he is. That's my thoughts.

This is why I respect Valuetainment and Bet David. These kinds of stories are what every young man needs to hear from elders. This kind of storytelling is what paints life in the eyes of young brave men. We need this kind of influence and wisdom. The deeds are bad and to be avoided, but the lessons learned the hard way and taught through his kind of storytelling, is what makes this channel a gold mine. Salute!

It's called turning state's evidence. By agreeing to testify, he lessened his time in jail and also put the real head of the problem away for life. FWIW although I live the US now I'm from a country where we don't have that and I assure you it is *MUCH* worse because no one talks and so even if the hitmen go to prison the bosses just hire someone else and their business continues. The question you have to ask yourself is whether you want the justice system to exist solely to lock people up or to actually reduce crime.

This story is both incredibly unbelievable and yet so true sounding. ''I felt dirty'' says alot about what he thought of the matter, but also his true feelings about what ''this thing of ours'' meant to him and his victim alike. It's crazy. In murdering him, he connected with him on a level he probably never experienced again with anyone else in other circumstances. Blows my mind to know people who live in the same streets as us, lead these kinds of life and have a completely different mindset, values, perception... Life lessons to be learned.

I totally agree. He did a lot of absolutely brutal evil. He pissed in a dude’s mouth after murdering him in front of a tonne of witnesses, due to delay in the sale of his club. I cannot shake the psycho disrespect of him doing that. It is on the public record. Dude murders 20 people at a minimum and walks around boasting about it. Rats out his family. Eff him. They weren't military in the sense of a country paying someone to go kill people from another country, no. But they were 100% military for him, war between powerful organized crime groups, these families have ranks and are trained to kill by orders. It's clear we don't associate with it, but you can't deny that for them who lived THAT life, they took it as seriously as taking a military oath or pledge of allegiance to a flag.
