I think the worst part about all those smurftubers like zwag, prof and ioki is how absolutely delusional their fans are. There's smurfing, but then there's convincing people that they're learning from watching it. And you know his subs will make excuses for him and die on that hill when he gets stuck in low elo.

The last time I've seen anything related from Prof Akali was he was hard stuck master-gm in NA which Idk if he even reached GM haven't rly watch his content in a long time but who knows he might get it
I like how objective Midbeast is with this video. He doesnt shy away from mentioning the smurfing drama and gives good non biased context overall. Professor Akali was one of the content creators I started out watching. After the smurfing thing and some drama with hashinshin I stopped following him. That being said I wish him the best and hopefully he makes challenger. Proves himself finally.

i like the video, and i really think you should do another video in a week or two from a game where he plays well/carries in Masters and see if you see any improvement. obviously this was a rough game so a part two would be fitting i think

professor akali is like Neace in that he was challenger once upon a time and hes been riding that since. i think he hit grandmaster last year in korea if im not mistaken tho
Well, Neace was never challenger except in Brazil which has a much lower quality of play in high elo compared to other servers due to being a very small server, so while technically he was challenger it doesn't necessarily reflect him having the skill of a challenger player in other servers; on NA he was at his peak GM and close to hitting challenger but was never challenger, and frankly he only got that rank because he abused duo q before it got disabled. He's lucky in that sense that he started to full time coach around the time Riot disabled it, so he could always excuse himself with that he didn't have the time to climb by himself. Professor Akali has never been in challenger though, and afaik has been hardstuck diamond on NA for many seasons.
Shen and Fiddle did everything within their power to help Dr Akali and he hard threw the game for them. Insane how mid of a player he is. Better than me, but jesus bro.

We all have bad games. Prof is genuinely insane, him having hit chal NA isn’t impacted at all by some random calling him mid. Also, he was the ONLY one that won lane. His bot lost by a solid bit and his top actually got STOMPED. Please, stfu. Ty.
From someone who actually watch his streams. I think these kind of videos are a little too negative. Sure, in terms of a a single gameplay review, midbeast is absolutely nonbiased and stays neutral. However, in terms of marketing for prof, its definitely very negative video as obviously; one of his worse games was picked for the public audience. He also has a lot of really good games in which he carried masters games with 14/0/10 kind of kdas. I really dont know why he does these 21 hours stream, but it obviously make you play worse the more you play and he really needs to take care his physical and mental health. He has really clean games, and is definitely masters level+ micro. His macro can be cleaned up, but personally i think his climb and learning curve is going to be better with max 10-12 games and 10 hour stream. 20 games a day is respect, but not healthy. But yeah...on his bad/tilted games, the gameplay for someone who doesnt watch him regularly doesnt even look like high level diamond. Just trying to be open-minded and show what it is for both sides. I dont know if this is the best midbeast can do just to cater to the fact that prof has a bad rep unfortunately. But making the vid on prof is definitely a win in terms of making content as a youtuber. In my opinion, midbeast predicted masters 100lp for professor akali which I doubt he can predict from this game alone, unless he actually followed more games.

His recent Twitch Stream title was "Masters MMR Korea". I then checked his last 20 games and not one game was Masters MMR, it was all D3 to D4. I then wrote into his Twitch chat why he is simply lying to his streamers and then got banned from his chat. LOL
3x LCS Champion. He's might be still a pro. He's literally bootcamping in GEN.G's facility right now, which is kind of weird since some currently active pro's like Jankos and JackSpektra are playing from PC Bangs and hotel rooms. Wouldn't be surprised to hear he returns to LCS next season.
The 20:00 play was so cap. Just camping bush watching a wave die, shows on wave and just walks away all the way back mid. Then later tries to 1v5, and only ults out once Shen has finished teleporting in... If I was Shen I'd think that was intentional
Used to love old akali. Back when actual hybrid champs existed... And not really random "this auto does half magic half physical" :| Really hope this mythic removal is a first step in Riot falling back from the strictness on items and bringing back more unique or niche items.
Riot should do a soloQ championship every year, every year go to a different region. set a date at which the ladder will be closed off. give prize money to top 100 players. this is good for the streamers, and for the viewers. so the best players around the world will travel to that region to compete.
Bounty system is so insane. Dies, then gets 2 kills and suddenly hes got a 300g bounty... This is why baus climbs, you get more gold by dying and then killing them after
way more gold as I read this comment I just finished a game where I am 7/2 vs a lucian and one 700g bounty death to the lucian as long as he kept up in farm he had a whole item over me since then and I just couldnt get back ahead until 27 minutes in
baus climbs because he has sick macro and attracts pressure (always getting 2-3 man gankd) leaving his team free objectives. his fog of war mechanics is insane as well that even chinese and korean teams were studying in their highlights
I think he’ll struggle hard. Prof is super good mechanically but definitely lacks in the macro department, which would separate him from other players in Korea. because he’s good mechanically, I think other players will outshine him as we all know Korean mechanics are simply unmatched compared to other regions.
