Once optifine literally saved my skyblock account. I got one of these people give me a mod which was a rat. I didnt know this at this time. I tried to run the mod and I had optifine 1.18 in my folder too so the game would crash when I tried to run forge. I installed skytils by myself and it worked. Then when i realised about RATs i realised that the guy was a RAT. Thanks Optifine.

Fun fact: reinstalling java does nothing to minecraft most of the time because java(or more specifically the jre) comes bundled with the minecraft launcher You can see this by looking at the file location of the 'java platform se binary' that shows up in task manager when minecraft is running

I got ratted by this guy. I got back into the game and got lazy and wanted easy coins so i installed this mod and lost my account. I decompiled it and it seemed fine but i only searched for a couple key terms. If you comment on his youtube video advertising the mod and then check it on a different account the comment isnt there as he only lets his alts comment.

I almost downloaded a rat once. I was on the subreddits, and I was asking for a good mod for Simon says in floor 7, because mine never works and I need to use my brain. Someone sent "Simon Says Solver 1.8.9" and I was like, "oh sure", then when I was about to put it into my mods folder I realized "why the fuck would there be a mod specifically for Simon says", so I used a java decompiler, and there it was, an ipgrabber and a keylogger. (nothing else lmao). Something really similar almost happened to my friend, for a supposed "pizza client", but I saved him quick enough. Edit: oh yeah, once there was another dude who sent me an "auto-armor rule" because I'm tank, and it would be easier to switch in between my goldor's and necron LMAO. First I answered, that's a macro, and I'm already used to switching lol. But i downloaded it, KEYLOGGER!

and by the way its not a crime 99% of the time, when people send rats most of the time all thats being taken is your session id, which in short can allow you to log onto anyone's account without knowing their account information, but ssids expire every 48 hours or so. So usually it's not a crime, and even if they tokenlog your discord its still not usually a crime because of how they do it. They can't actually get your mc login info and even if they did 2fa prevents them from being able to log on.

Just warning you guys about these 2 other scammers, their usernames are Vinderup and Darm00, they act like they will make you a farm and then once you add them into your coop they kick you out and steal everything. I suffered this a few days ago, don't make the same mistake as me. Once again their usernames are Vinderup and Darm00

i almost fell for one of these but before i used it on my Minecraft i looked the the files and found dupe files and discord dupe files and so much sketchy stuff, so lucky i droped out, they said that they needed someone to test it for them and that they were paying 20mil. they also tried to prove to me that it wasnt a virus that was gunna take my session id and stuff was they had me take it to a virus scan, jar files dont do that. Ty for sarite and his twitch chat convincing me not to use the mod.

Trolling hackers are fun! BTW if a minecraft mod jarfile's class/methodnames are obfuscated there's a way of de-obfuscating RATs(It's complicated but it would be funny :P) + there are github repos for RAT(codes that steals SSID), not sure if I can post it here.
