the great consultation at the start is probably what makes these cuts so much better than most, i feel like most barbers are probably skilled enough to cut hair how the customer wants it but not skilled enough at asking what the customer actually wants
Another great cut. Always makes me want to sit in that chair myself. I do wish you’d do an older guy once in a while. I’ve got natural white/grey hair, lot so it and it would be awesome to see someone who looks like me, too. Just a thought. Thanks

As a hairdresser, one hair style I hate doing is the peaky blinders haircut. Being a history graduate, I can't really understand the popularity of it. It was the common hair style favoured by criminals and those who had lice of the 20s and 30s. I do it with no protest but shaving so high up seems so old fashioned.
He doesnt. I ask for texture and I get this dumbfounded look from the “stylist”. Im older and have fine thin receded hair, but enough to do something with it. I cant find anyone that doesnt make me look like a fucking marine when Im done
@@Mrtellitlikeitis LOL same here. i’m 20 but i’m in the same boat. can’t find a barber as good as this guy. i’m debating on just going to a salon n seeing if they do a better job
Really a wow moment with the before and after, there's a method to the madness with these "messy" hairstyles, the shape Dan created suits him so much better
I have kind of a similar hair texture: slightly wavy at the ends, I would love to have this messy hairstyle, I think it adds so much character. Excellent cut as always 🙌🏻
I love how you take the time to understand your Client. You’re not afraid to ask questions, to understand how the client wants his cut. Not many barbers do that, they just see the picture once when I show them and they’re like “oh, yea yea, ok got it” and end up shaving my whole hair off. But you’re steady and precise, you cut hair with such precision, so you end up cutting it really good. Cuz you know what the customer wants! and that’s why you’re one of the good barbers out there. You’re the best
The styling advice is so great. Most people (women too) have no idea that the hairstyles we see in the magazines are worked on quite a bit by a stylist. You need to learn the right products for your hair, and how to use them, AND that you need a great haircut like Dan provides.
I cut my own hair and this style is what I would like to learn how to achieve.... I would possibly be able to achieve it on someone else...but doing your own hair is a whole different ballgame!
Just throwin this out there, not sure if it’s too bold to ask but I’m curious what you charge for this whole process Dan. Consultation to styling finish. Thank you for the content!
Man, if you only knew how much I love your work and how much I respect you. The barbers have ruined my hair, and they find it difficult to understand me even after I show them pictures of your clients. I promise you that I will be your next client soon, and I have a gift for you because you've made me feel reassured knowing there's someone like you who masters his craft.
I fkin love it, absolutely in point. You're a wizard, why are u not in London?! BTW, a bit random but, what is the haircut Ryan Gosling has in The Fall Guy and can you show it pleeeeease
Gorgeous! Can you cut my hair like that Dan? I wanted a pixie like that - got an old lady cut instead! Gah- I cut more texture into it when I got home. Now I’m waiting for it to grow out a bit so I can get it cut properly by someone who know how to cut short textured hair! Great job! 🥰
Dan, I admire you so much. The most for being so excellent at making these male clients look their most handsome selves. Your dedication, passion, and top-notch skill set that you are so willing to share, explain the details for each step of the cut makes us all better for learning better techniques for cutting hair, even if one is not a professional hairstylist. The hairstylists out there are of course, not your level. They are complacent and resist growing and learning. Some people don’t want to settle for mediocre and you give us hope to know there is better results that can be had if one is so fortunate to find. Thank you Dan for being you.
I love watching your videos!! Used to cut my ex's hair cut and my own about 90percent of the time, have learned a lot from your work. I'm sure this is probably politically incorrect, but it's meant with concern and kindness; you have lost weight, are you well? I hope so , you look great 🎉 Thanks for the videos, the information and tips that have helped MY haircuts. Just so you know I'm not a stalker !!! Just a 86 year old enjoying learning new tricks !!!!!😊
