I was doing a zine back when I was in the States and inside I included stickers that said something about “3 rules to being interrogated” I can’t recall exactly the text but it essentially said if you are talking to a cop you are being interrogated, don’t talk to cops!!! Well, a kid who read my zine and had all my T shirts said his friend got arrested and inside the cop car there was that sticker stuck near the cops rearview mirror. 😱👍🏼 So I never talked to the cop but found it pathetic the cop was feeling so confident in peoples stupidity that he could even warn them one final time on the way to jail that they are about to self rat themselves into prison. I also assume the cop posted that sticker as a fcku to me but maybe I just read into it too much cuz of my ego.

Thanks Jack for uploading this episode to RU-vid. As always, your ability to stitch a story together is masterful. It was rather difficult to recall the details after so long. And being so young as I was, and all the overwhelming circumstances surrounding my life and the incident itself, it wasn’t my most memorable moments. 14 years have elapsed since then. Turning a new leaf was in order. Thanks again, Jack.

It's exactly the same in the UK. If you make a confession, that's an admission of guilt. The police now have no obligation to investigate further or search for evidence that they would have had to do if you hadn't opened your big mouth. They are not your friends, they do not have your best interests at heart. If they're so sure that you're guilty, let them prove it in court.

And no right to silence in the UK. Can we say fascism.
@maxjjackson
@maxjjackson Год назад
@@raymond_luxury_yacht You absolutely do have the right to remain silent, it should be the very first of your rights that you are informed of when being arrested. The adjoining caveat is "you do not have to say anything when questioned but that might be held against you for something that you later rely on in court". Thus, you're nicked turns into "I didn't rob the bank down the road, ive been sitting in this internet cafe for four hours, its all on their cctv." Saves the time and money, especially when courts demand evidence sharing etc so there's no more 'smoking gun' evidence reveals anymore. So, you DO have the right to remain silent, but that decision may be questioned at a later date, especially if you rely on it as proof of innocence - which is a good kick in the face for 'innocent until proven guilty' and the onus of proving guilt insidiously changes to the onus of proving innocence - that's the real issue for concern. ..

I feel bad for this guy's childhood, having a mother leave you, then your father also give you up. I'm happy he was taken in by another family but then his mother getting into a cult and then bringing him into it, that's saddening to hear. That being said, I don't feel bad for what happened to him after. Understand the idea in the beginning but then to knowingly risk your future with your child so you can get some cred on a forum, doing things not even that technical thinking they're a hacker, and then compromising a clinic's systems for no real reason, just stupid. Then on top of it, not trying to better yourself after the fact, giving up a your kid again just as his mother did to him, yeah this guy's a tool. I also doubt the whole ship story, just sounds like he wants his fedora tipped. Good story but this guy's definitely a tool. Hopefully he matures and learns from his past.

I watched many episodes, but I've never really understood that people from those stories are still affected by [certain events] even after many years. The reason why I'm writing this is because I wonder if people feel better after telling their stories here or at any other platform...(sort of like a small therapy session) If the answer is yes than people who experienced all those awful things not only prevent others from repeating their mistakes, but also help themselves a little
@dannydetonator

For most people going trough painful and traumatising stuff, getting it of your chest by sharing is one of the best therapies. That's if the listeners accept it and don't judge, from my experience. From everything I heard in this video, this young man was into music at first and he was good at it, then he wanted to fight injustice against people who cyberbully others, but somehow he lost his way, what I gotta say about that is what I see is that he is really gifted with talent and intelligence those are gifts from God, you made a mistake, forgive yourself and next time ask yourself "is it right or wrong what I'm doing" and if it's wrong don't do it, be the wonderful guy that you can be , use those gifts God gave you for good, and don't let anyone take them away from you, they're yours God gave them to you, leave the past behind, don't let fear get a hold of you, rewrite the next chapter of your life and make it beautiful, follow Jesus and team up with him, God can void the injustices of people and governments he is above all that I believe that if you do that you can definitely have a beautiful life, you got all that talent you got what it takes and that's precisely why I had to say this to you, do that and you will see how your life turns all the way around, may you do the right thing and may God keeps blessing you

Even if it did, every clinic has temp recorders, in some situations **by law**, to show if something has gone out of range. This temp range is recorded. looking at this, from my UK man perspective. I did think the American judges, being more like normal people, would be better. In stark contrast, we Have very pompous judges here in the UK. It does seem that Our Judges see them selves as better than everybody else. But, you are most unlikely to find anybody saying they’re wrong or unfair or messed up. We do have Sentencing guidelines for Judges to work with. If a sentence seems harsh, there is guaranteed to be an appeal. If the sentence was found to be not harsh, you can get even more jail time because you appealed. The main thing here is that a plea deal is un heard of. They won’t charge you with an overinflated charge here, because it will just get thrown out by the judge, or you’ll just get found not guilty. They will only charge you with something that the Crown Prosecution Service believe will stick. This case has made me realised that our old fashioned judicial system is actually not too bad at all. Here in the UK, this man would not of got any jail time at all. He would not have to pay any money or promise any money to be out on bail. People here get free bail because they’re not a danger to the public. They may face some conditions or restrictions whilst on bail. If you are a danger to the public or a flight risk on a serious charge then you will be held in jail until the day of your trial.

@@King-Arthur-The-First yep, whereas in the US instead of teaching judges and policing forces ethics, compassion, and minimal use of force they are taught to go for max penalties because that arrest goes on the cop's resume or judge's election talking points (many judges are elected in the US).
@King-Arthur-The-First
@King-Arthur-The-First Год назад
@@LabGecko elected judge’s does seem to have its pros and cons. Here in the U.K. there is zero input from the public when it comes to the appointment of our judges.The same goes if the Judge becomes a more senior judge. If you appeal a case that was heard by a judge, then the appeal would have to be a more senior judge. If you lose that appeal, you could get more of a punishment than you started with. All judges here seem to have started out as barristers (best legal brains for hire) Crazy little known fact is that our courts will tolerate a very experienced solicitor to act in the same way as a barrister in a crown court, but they’re not allowed to wear the white wigs that the Judge and barristers wear. If you’re in a Crown Court, (serious cases, ) you get a free barrister if you can’t afford one. If you’re in a magistrates court, and you turn up with a barrister, you will win, no matter what because they will just dominate the show🤣 would cost you 1-2k a day min tho including extra days to prepare. Barrister once said to me, it’s not like real life in court. It’s just what you make the Jury believe on the day. That is probably the same in the U.S courts I assume.

Words don't hurt at all after that ever by anyone. Maybe we line all the kids that said words hurt there mind and feelings. We then punch them all in the face once and ask again.
