Hey I got new boost solenoids but they are no longer protected by the oem Heatshield since I did custom relocated inlets. Could this be causing my car to get the cel 3100 boost pressure control deactivation?
@@BimmerM5e39 I doubt it, heat will definitely accelerate wear and tear, but it shouldn’t throw a code right away. It may be possible that since you installed relocated inlets, the turbos are over boosting and throwing a 30FE code since they are less restricted. Similar happened to my friend. OR the boost solenoids are defective. I’d try to get replacement boost solenoids just to make sure, before going custom tune.
The overboost issue could be solenoids but if you’re still running the stock TMAP and pushing over 20PSI of boost that’s more likely to be your culprit. The whole point of upgraded turbos is to push as much boost as possible while the HPFP can still supply enough fuel to the injectors to maintain an optimal air to fuel ratio. Overboosting is only bad in this case if the TMAP isn’t able to accurately measure the boost…get an N20 TMAP
Nice pass! I seen a 1.95 60foot time on your slip, usually a 335 can do a 1.80 with a good launch, whatever u shed off the 60 u will cut twice that off the 1/4 so with that hot weather and 93 tune u could've ran a 11.4. With e85 and a good launch you can expect to be around 11.0 pretty easily bro!
you should do something about the rev limiter on this thing. like, shes fast but does not sound like it at all. next mod build the head, 10k rpm babyyyy
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one fighting problems like "Over Boost" and "Intake Air Pressure Blaa Blaa" after installing a set 17T Tubski's with 2' inlets and all the bolt on's! I mean I have other troubles too but man the car just makes me love it even after all the troubles. There's NO WAY I could have afforded any other car that could make the kind of power the N54 can even though I am constantly trying to fix things on it. It's also the best driving car of it's kind. I also have an E46 M3 but it's not running the greatest either due to my lazy butt! LOL.
super cool vid, i would recommend taking an extra 5 mins or so just to fully look over your engine bay specifically where you were working to see if anything looks off. there's so much to manage mentally when working on a car especially at the level you are. could save your life one day, sick vids keep creating them
Try to add more boost on 93 pump then add more timing. Looks like you were short shifting but I believe these VIV 19T V4 twins should feel strong until redline with the free flowing exhaust manifold design like the Dynamic Autowerx Flow Max+. Also the 6x6 compressor wheels give you more top end power over the 11 blades. IMO these twins should beat any stock turbo 335i running E85 while just keeping upgraded twins on 93
Where did you get that m3 bumper? Where do you recommend i buy a bumper for my 08 e92 355i. is duraflex a good brand and i dont know if its a good idea. And i cant afford expensive ones.
Was following along the build with my 335 n55 but after I put my stage 2+ MHD tune, my car started being all fucked up having charging issues leaving me stranded , showing alternator and battery codes. Replaced both of those , still havin issues.. fuck MHD lol
hey bro whats the radiator plug thing you ordered? some shop did my coolant flush and now its leaking everywhere; i moved from that spot so i cant go back!! maybe that's my issue
