@@i.dont.read.replies Should this not be the example for all fathers who go away for any reason, or is your toxic nature to be the example. Forest for the trees.
Thank you! I praised this for starting to recognize not all Fathers-especially Fathers of color are absent- as they SO like to perpetuate. However- forgot about the Wonderful Mothers that allow this bond to re-form. I'm sure they make sure it's safe first.. Thank you Moms for forgiving those who deserve to be- and help mend this vital relationship!
I love the way dad wasn't pushy at first, but when Mom gave him the single that it's okay..... .. the way they hugged maaaaannnn brought tears to my eyes ❤
Many men in jail are in fact trash, very few jailed men aren't. If a woman thinks a locked up man does not deserve the trash talk, chances are she won't say such things esp to their kids.
@@deathbyathousandcats honestly trash talking the child’s other parent to the children is never okay under any circumstances whatsoever. You might as well be trash talking the kid as half of them is the other parent. I would never tell my kids all the horrible shit my bm has done or what I think about her honestly because number 1, they’re kids and have no business knowing that information. And 2, because anything I say about her could have a negative effect on them.
Absolutely- I think they both needed the assurance of what was okay, from the way the boy stands then sits again. What a beautiful moment. Here’s hopes that they will have a lot of long, beautiful years together now ❤️
I understand the dad's view. He really wanted to but also realized idk what to do/ will i be a comfort. Ended with probably one of the best and most memorable hugs either will ever have.
this video is a real scenario, to so many others young men, it brought tears to my eyes, because I know of another scenario identical to this, a 5 year old boy and his father will be released exactly like this video, the little boy will be 11 years old, win his father gets released, around the same age of this young brother and his father would haven spent 11 years in prison.
How about stop committing felonies if you gonna have kids. Prison ain't cool. And it's not cool to leave your kids fatherless. Hopefully these guy changes his life
@@foodismedicinedummy7107people make mistakes in life, and no shit felonies are wrong that’s why they’re illegal the important thing is he did his time and is trying to be a dad when many are FREE men who never been in prison yet can’t even be a father to their kids.
Wow!!!!! The importance of a mother and a father is something inside of every person whether we know it or not. Soooo incredibly beautiful. Way to go dad, you are a HERO for what you will do for this young man's future.
Yelp, I hugged my dad and kissed him on the top of his head. My dad was short. I have daughters and the are grown women. The grab my hand as we walk down the street .
I appreciate the Dad being sensitive to the fact his kid may not be comfortable with hugging basically a stranger. And that Mom encouraged Dad to hug him knowing that her son needed that Dad hug.
@@ultimatenirvanatributeEveryone makes mistakes, your environment that you are surrounded in encourages people to do things that they shouldn't do. You never know where he came from, what his life way like. Don't go judging a man that obviously wishes he was there for his son, and regrets what he did. He seems pretty well mannered and not likely to do it again based on how he wanted to be there for his son, and shows how much he loves and cares for them based off the hug
@@ultimatenirvanatributepeople always show their true colors. The video never said what his dad went to prison for nor did it say he was from the ghetto 🤔. You should add this to your bio, I'm a sad, lonely person who hates people because I have no one but the internet.
I feel this 100%. When I was released, I went to the school to pick my son up, then he turned the corner in the hallway and saw me standing there, he dropped his stuff and ran full sprint into my arms. Still one of the most emotional moments of my entire 37 years of life
I think you mean "the court's" boundaries and the social boundaries that come with being a man in 2023. You know how easily he could end up in the same cell if one wrong move is made? This is the consequence of "feminism" and how we lock people up who don't need to be there, we're intentionally weakening men.
@@Kaleki935 While our justice system is definitely broken, this has absolutely nothing to do with feminism or any of the other things you mentioned. We know nothing of why he was locked up, and the fact that you took it there is messed up. He didn't know if his son wanted to be hugged, so he waited until someone told him to go for it. Who hurt you? Damn.. 🙄🤦🏼♀️
Man, being institutionalized so long and away from your family not knowing how they feel about you and not knowing if it's ok to hug him or not, heartbreaking. But then both having the best hug they probably ever had in their lives, heart warming. Good luck to all them.
Jesus loves you so much he died for you he wants to be your friend accept him before it's too late the rapture is soon God bless you and your family ❤ ❤
am i the only one who feels that this is one of the most heartwarming videos they have ever seen ? the son's hesitation to make sure that it truly is his dad, then the dad's hesitation to make sure that his son will accept him. Then mom encouraging the dad to break the ice. Then the ice breaking away. Saving this one .
Depends on how you're looking at it. Depends if he was even in jail for a fair amount of time or if he was unfairly taken away from his kid in the first place, for many years. If the guy didn't deserve 11 years, it's not completely heartwarming. It's a lovely clip nonetheless, but you gotta look at the whole picture here.
That was super sweet of the mother to rub the son's back like it was the Dad and then puts the Dad's arm around the son. He was too intimidated by the situation and didn't wanna screw up and that pulled at me heartstrings. God bless and heal this family and I hope they have a happily ever after.

@@andyb4044 and there it goes, the scarlet letter. Must be nice to be perfect. The funny part is it would take a less wholesome person to come on a post like this and go low. Seek therapy.
@@GoJojo-lv6zi So thankful she did. The way the dad lifted his son up and into his arms and held him was phenomenal. 🥹 That embrace was security, strength, and love.
Men know that it's complicated for teenage boys. He was ready and wanted to hug him but when the son backed up he didn't want to push him to a place he didn't want to go emotionally. Source: have teen sons myself
Hello everyone, I don't mean to be a burden and I know this is random, but this is the most important thing you'll ever hear in your life. Jesus is coming back soon! God sent His only Begotten Son into the world, that whosoever shall believe on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Those who do not believe will be condemned. (John 3:16-18). Jesus died for our sins, and to set us free from our sins and condemnation (John 8:36, Acts 13:39). Jesus rose from the the grave 3 days later after His death, defeating death. He now lives forevermore, and seeing we have saving faith in Him, we too will live eternally with Him! Jesus is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6). Following Him is the best decision to make in life. Though the Christian life isn't a life absent of difficulty, despite any circumstance Jesus gives true peace and fulfillment, a peace and fulfillment this world cannot give (John 14, John 16).
Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever your going’s through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying bout is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
Exactly. That’s her son and she’s been helping him deal with the situation with his dad his whole life. so she knows what he feels about his dad. Her confidence with the situation and reassurance was definitely needed.
It shows the strength of that kid having those feeling every minute of every day. His dad wasn’t the only one in prison for 11 yrs, but his sons love as well.
@@shohaim he should’ve thought “I wonder if my maybe-son-I-don’t-know-will-exist-yet might not want me to hug him when I get out and it becomes a viral video”? Is that a standard deterrent?
They were BOTH so broken and confused in that moment... that hug was a hug that started their healing process ♥️ Please God bless both of them and protect them 🙏
The way he just picked his son up as if he had been a little baby shows how old the child was when he last held him... this is very emotional. I hope this man does his best to turn his life around and be there for his son ❤
I'm deeply touched by this! This just proves, children love unconditionally and even after eleven years, he was so happy to see his father! This is what family is all about!
I spent ten years in prison and seeing my daughter after that time made me realize that I can’t live my life in a cell because this young woman needs her dad still. She has a stepdad! I would give my life for that little girl! I would spend my life in prison just for her. Now I’m working with the community and going to university for her!
OMG this man after 11 years is free and is struggling whether to touch and hug his son to console him or not. A quick reassurance moves him emotionally. Tears are rolling over here. Blessings to this family. I pray that the best is yet to come for them
@@brieemarie1706 not necessarily, don’t forget about the 1% (20,000) that were wrongly convicted. @@brieemarie1706 maybe not selfishness but a bit of foolishness and a bit of bad luck. We’ve all been there my friend. Some were luckier and escaped some dramatic events and others were not that lucky.
I spent 20 yrs and lost my daughter. Didn't know I was as big a piece of shit that her mother said I was. Lucky man to have a strong woman in his life.
Absolutely love how the dad was trying to respect boundaries due to his absence for so long but absolutely love the instant connection absolutely amazing moment
That's where women understand emotions better than us. She expertly steps in and completes this moment. Hope this kid has both a mom abd dad for a long long time, everyone needs both.
Not only all the cultural stuff, but prison will change how you look at affection instinctively. When your inside, people that are chummy from the moment they show up are usually dangerous, and while that doesn't *logically* carry to the outside world, your instincts take time to realise that.
What ever this man did is in the past, he has served his time and I hope this reunion with his son is enough to get him going in a positive direction...God bless you sir and congratulations on your freedom!
