I wouldn't say 100x better, but there's something to say about the fact that she was 100% in his corner from the get go. A bona-fide ride or die type of loyalty. The girl he was hung up on, even if she knew it wouldn't be a long term thing, chose to be with someone else over him. I don't believe she was necessarily wrong for what she did, though. I say the problem is with the MC for not being loyal to his ride or die. This is a rare moment where the girls in question weren't in the wrong imo
The moment I saw Asuka I knew. This is A Town Where You Live. One of my biggest regrets in reading the manga. What Eba Yuzuki did to Haruto was absolutely wrong and disrespectful and it baffles me that he let an amazing girl like Asuka out to dry and even dumped her all for Eba again. Nah. That was horrible. His friends were right to call him out on this. Dropped the manga soon after. "Oh sorry I have to dump you and become this old friend's gf until he dies cause that was his final wish and then I'm gonna stay away from you cause it hurts until some time later when I come back and steal you away from a girl who actually deserves far better than your sorry ass."
@@tjwizzy TLDR (Too long didnt read): Eba Yuzuki and Haruto are both terrible for what they have done to their significant others and Asuka was done dirty by Haruto. Basically Alex is saying that Eba Yuzuki (the blue haired girl) was wrong for breaking up with Haruto (MC) over long distance, because a friend of hers asked for a favor as his dying wish. Also, that Haruto (MC) is wrong for breaking up with Asuka (short haired girl with the baseball bat) to be with Eba Yuzuki (the Blue haired girl), when Eba Yuzuki (blue haired girl) doesnt deserve him for what she did to him, while Asuka (Short haired girl with the baseball bat) actually does deserve him and has never did him wrong.
I do agree I'd have liked it more if he stayed with Asuka. At the same time though, doesn't this just show you how perfect they are for each other? lol. Eba hurt Haruto, Haruto hurt Asuka.

just gonna say if you watch this please read the manga this anime is like part 3 out of like 5 parts. also the manga explains alot because it starts in Haruto's 1st year of high school and ends like 3 to 5 years after college. its soooo good but theres alot the anime misses and it explains why he cheats on Asuka.
@@wendelangus1086 honestly you should start from chapter 1 because the anime starts in the middle of the manga and there is alot of stuff about the past that will come up later that you should know for eexample why he even chased his ex to tokyo? why he never dated his 1st year crush when he had the chance to. also the anime has a time skip when asuka and him start to date and there is characters that arnt really in the anime that are important. like the girl that slaps eba. shes actually kinda important and becomes part of there friend group. the anime is missing alot.
Eba is totally portrayed as bad bcos of her nanami(blue hair girl in the countryside) misunderstood and he was rejected without even confession but we can say that it was fair bcos their relationship were definitely more like lovers So after that they should have dated but no she went and decided to date kazama. Now haruto who simply wants to get clear if she has bf gets motivated to steal her. So seeing that kazama let him have her but now she wants to stay away. Ok fair enough but then yrs later she came and confessed to him who has now asuka to further make her depressed Author literally did dirty on her man why can't you just give a happy ending Would have been much better if it had gotten happy ending with asuka and kazama not dying but nope we have to twist everything In my opinion both of them deserve worst bcos if u can't move on then why r u even getting in a relationship. He should’ve just not dated asuka, what a scum move to just break up because his ex suddenly came back. Almost all of the people except the main characters and the relatives are good people, even the dying bestfriend is scummy for using his condition to just get the girl to date him

After the second time she left I was mentally done I didn’t care about the mc and fl or how the anime ended. At the end I was hoping for trunk-kun to come out of nowhere and wipe both of them out.
I really love how peeps acts toward's Haruto's decision. I mean the guy has real guts to risk all he has to still go date Eba Yuzuki, instead of staying comfy state, no risks, with a girl he doesn't truely love. How funny so many guys would simply simp for the "comfort zone" instead of real love. Now that's the MC decision, ofc. Personally, like many, I much prefer Asuka as a character, but MC did what everyone should ever do, aka man up and get his feelings straight in the end, and do what's right to do, instead of a longlasting lie of "false" love just because it's safer. Yet, honnestly you can witness quite a lot of that IRL... This is what makes this anime / manga decent, as it's more like a believeable story, instead of a romantic fairy tale. Also, the manga explains the later stages of the couples, making the story a little less bitter in my opinion (if memory serves, has been a long time since I read it).
The main problem is not that he pursues Eba in the end, it's that he lies or tells half truths about it to Asuka. Lies of omission are still lies, and people who use them have major personality flaws. Should have just been honest, even if it was rather obvious.
Just imagine you are having a great time with your gf and then decided to drop everything to go with your ex that you have no idea what she been doing all of these times for you to go okay I’m going to breakup with my gf to go with my ex
Better read the manga though anime is skipping lots of chapters that will make you hate the anime on why the characters are making bad decisions and the manga explains them why.
Do not blame Haruto and Yuzuki for what happen to Asuka but blame the author (the author also killing FUUKA in manga) for creating SHIT character like Kazama (that everyone have to sacrifice and be nice to Kazama), compare the female character from "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" and "Your Lie in April" this male character Kazama act like loser and selfish bastard (Kazama takes advantage of the kindness of those who care for him).
Eba loved the mc and the mc loved her. Kazama was kind of a dick for imposing such a huge burden on a girl he knew didn't love him back and was just too kind to reject him given the circumstances. I think the ending makes sense and it was the beat decision for everyone.

Naw he did the right thing. He was loyal, he didn't cheat on her, he was honest with his feelings and told the truth. I wish more people did that, despite how hard it apparently is.
The thing is though, he did Asuka wrong. He still loves her, so there would have been no problem to stay together with her, because she would have NEVER cheated or done him dirty. While Eba has already done him dirty multiple times, he still chose her. IMO Eba and Haruto are both kinda L's especially Eba. Haruto was conflicted because of the games Eba and Rin (her sister) was playing on him. If they would have never tugged at his heart strings so many times, it wouldn't have been a problem.
