Eclipse is fine but staring at the full ass sun is def bad

The Issue is that during an eclipse your Pupils open up because its darker than usual and when the Eclipse ends, the eyes cant adjust quickly enough to compensate the difference resulting in Eye Damage.

For future reference, you absolutely can view a total solar eclipse without glasses at it's peak. The majority of light from the sun is blocked by the moon. Of course it is going to be less intense on your eyes. They only say to not stare at an eclipse because of two main reasons: both your eyes focus in totality (the dark part of the eclipse) and then can be overwhelmed/damaged when the sun comes back out, and that there is a significant amount of viewing time that your eyes should be shielded due to the moon not fully obscuring the sun for the entirety of the event. They don't tell you to wear the glasses specifically for totality of the eclipse. I mean the moon is observably in front of the sun. If you genuinely for some reason think that staring at the sun while the vast majority of its energy is being blocked by the moon is risk equivalent to looking at the sun normally with nothing in front of it, then I'm sorry, but the future probably doesn't hold many great prospects for you man. Next time, just make it clear that you actually don't have a clue in the slightest of what you are talking about, rather than trying to imply that you are more knowledgeable than you genuinely are in order to shame someone else. This reply would have been a lot more forgiving if you were just a nice person asking questions, rather than insulting peoples intelligence to make yourself feel better about clearly having none of your own.
