Anime: Buddy Complex. basically the anime started with the first loop. cause in original timeline they both were genius scientist researching over time, then to save other they do time loop but got seprated to to save other they do again a timploop where they lost there memories and the female gets adopted to enemy nation again timeloop! this series was so minblowing i watched this anime one day just randomly and it was fricking amazing!!!!
hmm, so basicly, there is 3 loops, the final one of these is the one we see on anime, the second is where the other guy survives and try to kill the protagonist, the first one is that they both are genius from the same side, is that it?
@@fakeletobr730 we actually don't know. What we do know is that there are at least 4 loops, 1 where everything was normal, in other words, where Hina and Aoba met in college and became research sweethearts until the temporal accident where Hina(fmc), was the one who piloted luxon first (1st loop), 2 where Hina was sent back in time WITH luxon and attended high school with Aoba and was attacked where Hina sent Aoba instead to the future and Hina was stuck in a time loop(2nd loop), 3 which is the same as loop 2, with the only difference is that after Aoba was sent to the future, and at the end, when the weapon that caused the singularity, Hina got sucked in the singularity and was sent back in time WITH her own zogilian mecha instead of luxon and repeated loop 2 4 which is the same as loop 3, with the only difference is that this time, Aoba remembers the loop's result (unclear how many) when the singularity appeared and stopped Hina from getting sucked in. the problem now is that how many times has Hina and Aoba been repeating loop 3 because as long as Hina was getting sucked in the singularity, they were going to repeat loop 3 again and again. It was never mentioned but based on Loop 4 Aoba's reaction, most likely dozens, if not hundreds.
@@AcZe1188 yup. I remember watching this when it came Aoba's buddy kept stopping him from going after her. When my brother and I watch it we said the same thing kill the bad guy before he gets sent back in time.
Its not just a time loop its a multiverse too and its happening at the same time. The guy sent back in time is the founder of the empire that started the war
@@jonreese7066 Yeah I liked the anime because it handled time travel loop trope pretty good for 2013 and I was amazed at the time. Even now I'm actually still amazed and the logic makes perfect sense from their own world logic point of view.
Love the series and have rewatched it a couple times before. Though the funny thing about this series is that Watase Aoba is not the true MC. He is just someone extremely close to the real MC. Trying my best to avoid some spoilers.
This channel was recommended by RU-vid and so far I'm not disappointed. So far I watched 2 of your videos and already put them on my list of Anime to watch. Thanks!
08th MS Team did the enemy stranded together in Gundam first but in space. Later it evolved into the very thing that it is known today in SEED and 00 did the same thing as well.
Buddy Complex is such a great masterpiece and I never regret watching it. Unfortunately the ending felt kinda rushed as they can actually bring the series to at least another season with the single coupling mechanism. The plot has so much potential 🥲
When you heard the name "DIO", NOW PILOTS A MECHA JOJO STAND GO MUDA MUDA MUDA. Also me, seeing Philippines country at 3:30 : WELP GUYS, LETS BRING OUR MECHA, I AM GONNA PILOTED IBO ZEPAR GUNDAM INSTEAD, IF THEY DAMAGED PHILIPPINES, WE RIOT.
Buddy complex. Just a warning you may have to rewatch it if your interested in the story bc it's a time loop thing and I still don't get it if it's still continuing or not the time loop
@@imychanel5104 Are you truly sure about your statement. You may want to re watch all the memories/flash backs and the ending credits give a huge clue.
@@imychanel5104 They may have ended the show in the sense of not being popular. But doesn't mean it's concluded officially. There is a few pieces of evidence that says other wise per the ending credits. This is a highly debatable anime when it comes to it's ending.
*insert there's 3 actually meme here* "I know 3 Dios. Dio from Buddy Complex, Dio from Jojo, and Dr. Hahn also from Buddy Complex that voiced Dio from Jojo."
@@ashishjadhav5169 it sounds way too good to be true because time doesn’t work like that and this would only cause more problems and distortions really well explored by steins gate actually. Time has always been really difficult concept to portray. Even in avengers they had to hire a professional to explain things and even that felt convoluted. I think the villain probably survived the wormhole and is the same person we see at the very start of the show but much later the girl ends up going back to save the mc after be probably does some self sacrificing stunt or something. This is all speculation but most of these shows are predictable who knows. Im probably wrong.
They didn't break the cycle. Try to remember Episode 15. In the post credit scene, Hina was running and bumped into Aoba. That's one of their memories when doing the "self-coupling" thingy, eventually leading to events that triggers Episode 1.
Such a shame the ending was rushed. You can tell they were absolutely setting up for an epic second season with Hina joining the guys and having a big conflict play out. But they were left with just a few OVA episodes and had to just...jump to the finale. It makes me wonder what might have hurt the show that made it just fall short of wider appeal. Maybe the coupling system and terminology there was too silly for people? It was a really good show that could have been even better if the finale had been given room to breathe. They did what they could, but it's hard to just jump into a quick finale like that. It's like reading a manga that got axed. It was still good though. I enjoyed the overall setup. The journey for Aoba was pretty solid and seeing him struggling with being thrown into the future landed well. And the whole time loop being about Hina and not Aoba made it really enjoyable. All the pieces fell into place and made sense.
Gundam did it better was the usual complaint, amusingly enough. The Coupling system was also thinly veiled magic which most viewers (at least those active on anime forums) found stupid. Characters and plot was also a mess. Back when it aired we loved the show for the mech fights but also loved to tear the ever living shit out of the plot. Bizon in particular was a common butt of our jokes. Operating from vague memory here but hopefully shed some light to the attitudes of the era. Also I'm speaking from the Western reception of the show. Alas I can't provide much on how Buddy Complex was viewed by the Japanese but apparently lukewarm if they didn't get their second season.
Never knew about this show but I mistaken by that one mech look like Gundam Bael and I was like "This guy must be the founder of gjjalahorn" then I was wrong.
