Agree. How are we supposed to move forward with a new era and a new dawn if we keep hearing united based pundits like the ex players on TNT go on about “sir Alex did this, he wouldn’t do that”? The philosophy of the club being winning trophies playing good football and utilising the youth will stand forever no matter what but to compare everything to Fergie helps no one.

What fking 'philosophy of the club'?? The 'philosophy of the club' is actually the philosophy of people - in this case Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson. Sure, Sir Bobby Charlton as well but he is the "child" of Busby after all. Clubs arent sentient philosophical creatures, PEOPLE are, and we should never forget Busby and Fergie.

@@TataMataAkrobata utilising the youth isn’t just based on people it’s been like that through all the managers and still even beyond them. Ofc it’s a part of the clubs philosophy. United being held to a high standard of winning things and playing good football has always also been held in regard. Because those people have set the traditions and it’s been carried through the it becalmed the clubs ethos and philosophy. No one is saying to forget them ofc we will remember them but their traditions will continue to live on beyond their times which becomes part of the club’s philosophy.

Ok, well its because club is not a living creature, people carry ideas not blocks of stones. United was relegated between Busby and Fergie, the style of play differed from manager to manager and the promotion of youth happened under busby and then under fergie, decades apart.

@@stevenattias1803 and he didn’t pick and choose the best teams. Barcelona were built by Rikard. Bayern had just won the treble when Pep took over. At city he was the cherry on the setup done by the Barca guys who arrived years before. Pep is a legendary manager. But let’s not forget he’s never managed Aberdeen to beat Madrid or rebuilt a team like United who were flounding in the 70’s and 80’s. Ferguson is far better.
