Ren has a continuing theme of the destructive force of greed throughout his works. When he mentions capitalism he always recognizes his own (and all of our) roles in the underlying greed that is at its root.

What you said is exactly what Ren has been saying all along… it’s the greed component of capitalism that makes it so corrupt… he really isn’t as you said against the progress etc… I love you get that… it’s so true that every system has its downfall… if they were used in the matter that they were designed many systems would actually work… I think it’s a good system but sadly we don’t play nice on this planet… he really is so intelligent and well informed… Ren can’t eat those Toblerone’s due to his illness, but has a love for them in his lyrics… 😂 He is 💥🔥💥 Thanks for a great react… 💥

Love your reactions, your ability to break down lyrics is unmatched! I agree with you, he is a fully fledged, well rounded artist! It's a bit annoying when everyone talks about him as a kid or a "talent" only (yes, of course he is talented, but he is more than that) when he's been at it since 12 years old and released so many awesome music and art projects. He's put in some damn hard work and is certainly a skilled artist by now. Reminds me of the NF line "You keep on thinking that artist is new but that artist has probably been at it for years" 😄

Capitalism thrives with consumerism, but if the people can’t afford to consume then the system is broken, Rens Money Game Pt 2 sums up what a broken Capitalist system is like and we are living it now. Ren is the master of conversion starting, let’s just hope someone in power listens.

Long time sub here( from the LP rabbit hole , through which I discovered Ren and went down the Ren rabbit hole and all of the Ren rabbit holes adjacent 😂) I actually really loved what you said about capitalism. Ren is not against capitalism; he IS against the rampant greed that you spoke of. I won’t get into politics but , as an American, in the next 8 months we will either remain a Democrat Republic founded upon our Constitution that governs with a system based upon checks and balances ( or so it used to before 45 released the Kraken that is the House of MAGA). Our current President has stood with unions ( literally, while they were striking), called out the corporations for price gouging and blaming it on INFLATION while enacting “ shrinkflation “ aka DEFLATION! , cancelled student loan debt for millions of people who have paid their principal off and are still over their heads in debt BECAUSE OF THE INTEREST that shackled them for exponentially more money than the original amount loaned ( keep in mind, these are loans for Uni, for higher education), passed an infrastructure bill that created jobs while fixing the infrastructure AT THE STATE, EVERY STATE ( not just the ones that “ like”, “support “, “voted” for him. As politicians, yes, there IS a game that they play. The good ones work across the aisle and call it compromise . We have that in the Executive Branch:our current President; we do not have it in the governing bodies: Congress ( House and Senate) or in the Judicial Branch. I can only hope that people vote for Democracy AND Sanity come November.

Personally I wish that reactors wouldn't have the closed captioning up for Ren. They NEVER get it right, and it's a distraction. Even with his accent, he is pretty understandable.

I always say the only thing wrong with capitalism is that we never set limits on how rich someone can get. The capitalism today or the past 40 years in America has been all about earning more profits by stepping on the mid and lower classes. They have to in order for them to to make more and more money. You'd have to fix all humans or the society that they develop in order to do a better job of spreading the wealth out. They treat the money, or cash flow limited for the rest of us in order to keep a high value to the dollar.

I would love Ren, and Emiem would do a song together. Can you imagine that? It would be great.

I don’t really understand why people use the CC’s, Ren unlike most artists in his genre (whatever genre he belongs to 🤣) he is actually very easy to understand, and his words are actually very clear. He is actually very understandable. And he always posts the lyrics to the tracks in the comments, and also adds whether he has made a mistake with the lyrics (I’m sure it was Loco, he typed something but wasn’t the actual word in the video, so he added at the bottom what the word should have been.

I live in Norway which is a liberal socialism country and we are doing pretty good here, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, all liberal socialist countries, all in the top of happiness and income, Finland has been ranked as the happiest country on the planet at least 6 years in a row, and here you come and tell that socialism doesn't work? So what's the line that separates "Capitalism" and "Capitalism on Steroid"? Also what's the bad thing about "Free healthacare or "Free Education"? I don't theink it is about capitalism or Communism. It is about people. Whenever people get involved both systems fall apart. I can name as much good things about Capitalism as about Communism (very different from socialism), and I can name as much bad things about either system. On my POV Socialism is the systems that stands between both Capitalism and Communism, call it Progressivism if you wish, but in my humble opinion is the best system to be able to still practice Capitalism and still conserve some humanity. I'd say Socialism, unlike Capitalism and Comunism, is the break that avoid both former systems to go on steroids.

Well, I enjoyed your reaction to the video but, I can't help but respond to your capitalism rant..... It seems funny that you would say that Ren couldn't do what he is doing without capitalism... considering he's independently making his living by sharing his works freely, (in that he is not otherwise 'signed' to a label), on "Social Networks". It was capitalism that demanded advertising be included within the social networks because otherwise, creators would be able to make gains for themselves without others, (advertisers, corporations, special interest groups, and politicians), being able to get a piece of the action. Whether you like it or not, you are participating in socialism, simply by being on a social network, "sharing" your thoughts within the society. It wasn't "capitalism", that brought Ren his fame, or his following. It was a result of the overall acceptance from those within this social platform. Capitalism is the force that makes reactors, not unlike yourself, be afraid of copyright infringement, which could lead to punitive measures, including the shutting down of the offender's channel. In the end, we are all part of this old "Money Game". (the title of another great Ren trilogy) Having said all of that, I wish you well! Cheers!

Lol you need to go back to the actual definitions of capitalism and socialism. The latter isn't ideal, but only one of them keeps the wealthy af the top and the rest immiserated, and its the former. Capitaljsm tends toward monopoly, which in turn concentrates wealth which in turn sets up a power structure stronger than democractic governance. There is nothing inherent to socialism that prevents innovation or creativity. When basic needs are met, there's actually more leisure time available for creative pursuits. Free market systems, where one must work all their waking hours, only to have the fruits of their labor stolen by bosses who extract value from their labor and pocket it as profit, are built on exploitation. Wages that can never reflect the real value of your producfion, so unless you own your own production, capitalism will kill you much faster than socialism. What works best is a mixed economy, with some of each system. Regulated markets that dont allow for wealth to be too concentrated combined with socialized necessities like housing, transportation, and public infrastructure rather than privatized and corrupt services. combine that with strong labor unions and progressive taxation that encourages investment into the economy rather than allowing wealth to be extracted and offshored
