"I realized the profound influence Joseph’s home life had upon him. After the most glorious vision in this dispensation occurred, the boy Joseph 'went home.' His mother immediately sensed his contemplative spirit and asked 'what the matter was' (Joseph Smith-History 1:20). Joseph knew that his home was a place of trust and acceptance, of safety and refuge…Making home a place of refuge has much less to do with temporal arrangements than with the Spirit."-Susan W. Tanner
This BYU Women’s Conference address by Sister Susan W. Tanner, former Young Women General President, was given on April 28, 2005.
