It's pretty confusing for people because I assume in most languages the word for borrow/lent is exactly the same so people don't see the distinction. In other languages both people "borrow" so people don't use these words correctly. It's one of those things that hard to remember even if you speak English well since in your mind the word "borrow" means both.

Never noticed. I use both, though for some reason I use borrow when I'm the one borrowing and lend when I'm the one giving.

the difference between those 2 does not exist in most of the European languages I know, so we consider them synonyms. I try to use both.

lent, lend, land, lented, landing, lenting theres a lot of ways to fuck it up using that word, thats why i personally avoid using it
