Many restaurants in the vicinity of Balloki Barrage sell fried fish exclusively. People come from far away places during winter to enjoy fried fish with family. The fish is not real Carp (Rohu) but at much cheaper variety similar to carp called Thailah. It is imported from Vietnam and Cambodia/Bangladesh. It's frozen and then thawed to look like fresh fish. It tastes nothing like real Rohu. I wouldn't recommend going to this place just for trying the fish. For picnic maybe. Roads are not safe.

Around 1 & 1/2 Hr from Lahore. The place is should be visited in Winters only. Roads are hazardous. Ok for a day trip. I wouldn't recommend it, nothing to see or do!

@750 per kg the food is rather expensive in Pakistan. We might get similar dish between 400 to 500 per kg in India. Just a comparison as we enjoy eating rohu on both sides.

There is difference in exchange rate of Pakistan Rupee. So it looks expensive but it will be the same if you convert it to Indian Rupee.

Han yaar ye vanaspati ghee hai. Sari heart ki aur BP ki problem isi se ho rahi hai. Yahan India me iss ghee ko ab bhut hi kam log khate hai. Gareeb log hi ise use karte hain.

Original Style Why, do you wash it with your feet. At least appreciate the hard work and cleanliness. Wearing a glove does not mean it's clean, it is only a perception. How do you know that the glove didn't come with bacteria from the market. To ensure safe food always wash hands and work, this way atleast you know that you have clean food. Must keep washing hands every time you change tasks
