Heupel is a hero in Norman. He should have won the Heisman along with the 2000 NT and thus should have a statue in Heisman Park along with all the other special players we’ve had. Happy he’s having success as a HC. Boomer Sooner!

I reckon it is ok for Sooner fans to love Coach Heupel and want to kick his tail at the same time 😅

As an OU fan since before Josh played for us, I have nothing but respect for what he did as a football player and as a coach. He's a good man & deserves his acolades as a successful coach. Having said that, I have to cheer for OU. 😊

BOOMER SOONER fan here! With that said, a great interview with Josh! Many, many Sooner fans have nothing but respect for him. 25 years ago he lead OU to its last Natty! josh is tremendously well spoken, not your normal "coach speak" with a lot of "you knows' that many coaches use as a crutch when speaking! Vastly proud of him in what he has accomplished since leaving OU! I still think he has a "soft spot" for OU! and why not! Wish my beloved Sooners were not so banged up with injuries to many key players! As of now, I believe OU will have to play a A+ game on both sides, to keep up with da Vols!

He will get a roar of applause from the Sooner Nation when he takes the field.

Oh yeah it's personal for him. He's still loved in Norman for sure and we are proud of the job he's done with the Vols program......... but with that said it's Boomer Sooner.

I'm an OU fan, i fkn love Heupel. He is a legend and a damn good football coach. I hated it when OU got rid of him. Love what he has done with the Vols, he is the reason i root for the Vols lol

Absolutely loved Josh as a player and a person. I was fortunate enough to be around the guys during the NC run at OU. It was tough watching him go when Mike was actually the one that needed to go.

We love and miss you coach heupel we will welcome you back to ou hopefully with ou beating you but it should be a good game with ou getting some injured players back he loves ou you can see that

Always nothing but love for Josh. If we have to lose a game to anyone, it will hurt a lot less losing to Josh. Don't get me wrong, I want to see OU go out there and surprise everyone, but whatever happens, I'll cheer for the Vols the rest of the way after Saturday.

This is going to be a tough tough gane for us. Oklahoma is 50 timew better than any team we have faced in the past 3 weeks. I hope we are ready for this.

All the Tennessee homers are now praising Heupel but when he was hired they all talked shit and this was the downfall of TN. I assured them Heupel was the future HC of OU before he was canned for Tebow. Sooner fans love Josh…he did so much for OU football. Was never a fan of how Stoops fired him…a bunch of us fans feel that way too.

Imagine irony of this. Josh Heuple was the last Sooner quarterback to win a national championship and now these years later, he's the HC of the very first opponent his old team will face in their new conference. Someone had to have planned it this way?
