Fenix supplied the lights for this video. We are under no obligation to promote their products but we already use them so we're happy to accept the free gear. Their products are rugged, bright and a little expensive. If you are serious about caving it's great stuff.

There's something so meditative about this. You challenge nature, and nature gives it to you. No whining or complaning. No comfort or accomodations. No mental/emotional gymanstics with society. Just your pure actions, decisions, and grit against the material obstacles of nature. The view might not be worth it, but I doubt I'll come back out as the same man.
@CalvinHikes
@CalvinHikes Год назад
The part that changes you is when you're in a difficult situation and you can't leave and you can't fight and you just have to lay there and succumb to your surroundings. This ultimate passivity really builds in a tremendous amount of patience. And it's the patience that is the tool which can be used to overcome the rest of life's challenges.

The experience is worth all the effort. The view underground is almost beyond imagination. Watch the “dynamited shut) video. In every cave the colors of the rainbow explode under the power of our 12,000 lumen cave lights. There are times we simply weep at the work of the Great Creator. If you are more interested, add a phone number and I’ll send some video.

I got to go through a huge cave system a couple years ago it was black water rafting, as the name implies the cave had large sections of deep river flowing through it and even some mild rapids and waterfalls, the majority of the cave was roughly 40 meters underground, with glow worms and all. It Was an absolutely amazing experience, however only 2 small sections had parts where we had to crawl on all 4 fours, about 1 and a half foot tall. But man I could not imagine going through longer, smaller, and unexplored sections of cave. That's a whole other level of brave or crazy! Good on you guys but man I'd never!

If you have a profound interest in caves as you say, then I definitely suggest you look up a caving association/club, and give it a try, regardless of claustrophobia. Not all caves are tight squeezes. In fact, in my several years of caving, I've never had to crawl more than a meter or two at a time. Of course, local geology dictates what kinds of caves tend to form in the area. These are lava tubes. Karst caves, on the other hand, tend to be quite spacious most of the time.

WOW EXTREMELY SKILLED!! You’re so patient, daring, tactical and definitely have to be adrenaline chasers!! I really admire and respect what you do! Also I really appreciate the pop up images you create of the body position in the cave when your having issues. Really helps us understand why your in difficulty in your current position.. Love your videos!! Keep them coming! ❤🪨🔦

Thank you. We can be Adrenaline Junkies or we can be patient but it's very difficult to be both. We are down here for the restful silence.

Nothing more relaxing than watching you guys traverse these caves. If I was in that cave I would probably not be as relaxed. Great stuff!

Calvin you have one hell of a channel. There is so much to learn from what you guys do. I really hope one day we get to see you guys branch out and start going to different states. There is so many caves here in Pennsylvania where i live that are totally unexplored. Thank you for taking the immense time and effort to make these videos for us to watch and learn from. You and jake have my utmost respect!
