Watching Ice is like sitting in class to listen to a veteran poet spill his mind out. All battle rap aside I come to listen to some narrator talk.

Ice's style is not for kids. It may seem simplistic, but there is nothing simple about his flow or metaphors. In fact, it's over most peoples heads. Always loved his style, it's more street poetry like Nas in his illmatic days. And he's one of the few that can gets respect from the crowd under any circumstance...because you can tell he's lived that street life. The shit he spits in a battle verse would sound equally impressive on a track. Ice bodied Shine and outswagged him, as he does with almost all his opponents.

The problem with guys like HEAD ICE is they can't be understood by people who haven't been in that LEVEL of that street life. The average person listening to this is comparing ICE to an INDUSTRY IMAGE of a rapper. Most of what he's spitting is for those of us that did that. It's the difference between DMX and DRAKE. On record sales, DRAKE might have X beat, but if you put them on a STAGE to battle, X will absolutely MURDER THAT MAN!! Yo! This some bullshit! How you put a 2 minute time limit on ice and shine, knowing they wanna go in longer than that?! These two MCs don't rhyme short rounds and smack knows this shit. This is why shine didn't really go in on ice the way everyone knows he can and you see how frustrated ice was when they cut him short. I honestly don't want to give a winner because I strongly feel they both got fucked over with the time, but this is what I have. I gave ice the 1st because ice had that one haymaker with that leg twitch bar and he had better overall performance with bars. I gave ice the 2nd. Although shine took a good angle, ice barred the shit out of shine. The 3rd round was light on shine's part. The only memorable part of shines round was the ending where he did some old school rhyming shit. Ice hard more bars in this round as well and I gave it to ice. Ice got this 3-0, but no bodybag. Sometimes rappers have good bars but bad delivery, and sometimes it's vice versa.. However, k shine doesn't seem to have either of these skills. These battlers need to learn to be "MC's" you got to learn to control the stage when it's your turn, thats exactly why charlie clips wins.. because he knows how to speak to the audience, and adds pauses so the punch lines hit harder
