Pariksha Pe Charcha is part of the larger movement - ‘Exam Warriors’ - led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters.
The 7th edition of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' began on January 29, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, New Delhi.
Here are some major takeaways from this;
1. PM Modi encourages students to ensure that technology dosen’t become a problem or a burden. He believes that if used wisely, technology can be a blessing.
2. While talking about goal setting & striving to achieve it, PM Modi said, ‘Children may burden themselves with the belief that their performance is subpar. I recommend setting small goals while preparing & gradually improving your performance.’
3. PM Modi asked teachers to treat all students the same. He emphasized that weaker students shouldn’t feel neglected.
4. Responding to a question PM Modi compared our bodies to mobile phones & says just like mobile phones need charging similarly humans also need sufficient sleep & neglecting sleep can have harmful impacts.
5. PM Modi stressed upon the significance of regular writing practice. According to him students can benefit greatly from practicing writing because it enhances memorisation, making it easier for them to remember without much effort.
6. PM Modi recommended that students should practice deep breathing exercise as they enter the exam hall.
7. PM Modi suggested not getting too caught up in comparing their achievements but rather focusing on personal development.
8. Adding to this PM Modi also advised parents to avoid comparing their children to the achievements of others.
9. PM Modi emphasised the importance of challenges and healthy competition in life, claiming that without them, life becomes dull.
10. PM Modi also advised parents that ‘child’s report-card is not parents’ visiting card’. He mentioned that this can add unnecessary stress for both the child & their friends. Instead he suggested fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages overall development & well-being.
