I'm long overdye for another head wrap tutorial so here we go! In this video I'll show you how to do 5 different head wrap styles using Ankara head wraps. These styles would be great for National Head Wrap day this Friday November 20th. Head wraps are great for anyone, whether you're looking for protective styling, modesty or dealing with hair loss.

I really love the way you tie your scarf and love that fact that you have different colors and patterns. I started doing this a few months ago and my mom didn't like it. But when I went to see my great aunt's they loved it. so I'm definitely going to keep doing this. Thank for posting those great styles... I needed them!

These headwraps are beautiful however instead of paying so much for them u can simply go to fabric store or even walmart and buy about 2 yards of a pretty fabric that you feel comfortable wrapping with and there you go!

Chaka Stallings the fabric she uses is stiff and so far I have not seen it in any stores in the states. My Nigerian friend would buy for me however sticky fingers seemed to have found them.

I liked all the styles. Maybe it was just you, they all look gorgeous on you. I’m sure I would get a completely different effect. You made it look so easy. my guy is Nigerian...before I met him I'd started working on how to do headwraps, told myself this winter I wasn't trying to have my hair out--I wrapped my hair with a tshirt before we went to a store last night and he was excited. He said "Ankara!" Yes, I said, but it's not the material...I plan on doing this alot this winter so you won't see my fro often. "Now I know what to bring you from home"....what are some good places to shop for these types of patterns? besides Joann's Fabric (tired of people suggesting that store because they don't have what I'm looking for). anyone's input is appreciated. love it

what area do u live in? i can give a lot of places depending on that, but try googling "african stores near me," and call and ask if they sell fabric(ankara, kitenge, wax print, etc.) If not, they will most likely tell u where u can.
