@@36inc You don't need music production skills to like or dislike certain sounds or styles of music. The only benefit that being good at music production would provide is that it gives you an understanding of how those sounds are made and what they're called.
I also like the old version more than this one but don't throw hate guys! It's not only the zaagkick but the melodies in the old version were more "natural" and the build-up at 2:11 was way better before. Anyway I'm a huge fan of Heady and this track it's a frickin' banger! The old version was a 10/10 and this is probably an 8,5/10. Can't wait for 'Battlecry' or 'Live Forever' next Willem🧡

Just a personal thought, nothing aggressive.... The zaag kick itself doesn't have any issue for real, but the transition to it feels... abrupt, just doesn't flow with the development of this track. Also some of the guitar-ish and vocal effects and filters seems to be absent in this version. I don't know if that's a master mistake or Heady didn't like it, I do think that element really color the melodic drop, now the euphoric drop just lacks something.... If you compare this with the original version, there sure will be some potential disappointment factor in it.
It’s so funny to see the comments from this video compared to Instagrams video where everyone loves this new version. Honestly, this new version is almost an insult to the fans who were looking forward to version that was played at defqon. Not ONLY that, the fact that there was an “EP” said to be released last year that probably contained this track. So the fact this version was released MONTHS later that is now a different version (w/ Zaag Kicks), is a slap in the face. @@KhoaTran-qq1dx yeah i have just heard It now. Im not a real fan of these new kicks PVC zaag etc, but this zaag are not horrible, It is just that in this kind of style It doesn't match. Heady should had released both. He played the official track at Fabrik, and I enjoyed th zaags on live. However, I hope he doesn't go so far on these new tracks.

Would be better if they released 2 version, one "Harder Mix", with the 'zaagkick', and the earlier original version without it, or an alternative more melodic/euphoric part.
Listening hardstyle since 2008. Totally different nowadays with the raw hardstyle. But this track is like a evolution that combines both genres. I like it. (i'm a uptempo fan also so i can only applaud this)
I like zaagkick if it fits the track. This is a perfect example of how/where not to use it. The other kick version fits way better and hits you like a truck.
Exactly, and even without the zaagkicks i think the track is kinda mid. I was also hyped for Numb by Rebelion & Vertile, but when i reached the mid intro i was like "trash". The zaagkicks and the whole "fuck this" thing ruined the feeling and the point of the original.
The backlash is the proof of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" been a fan of Heady since 2007, and I NEVER found the amount of negative comments in any of his old releases, not even in the Big Room House ones, first HHz career's flop
This isn't the Headhunterz that made us fall in love with hardstyle, I don't know where that Headhunterz is but I hope he comes back soon. Hardstyle now has now feeling or emotion, just noise
I went back and listened to the unreleased versions anti-climax and it just had so much more drive. There must have been phase issues with the kick or something, because for the life of me I can't tell why you would change it to that zaag. It just sounds like I put a soft clipper on any of my kicks and turned it up to 11...

no es uptempo, los zaagkicks son cosas del uptempo si, pero esto es hardstyle de toda la vida, la moda actual es usar zaagkicks y a heady no le quedó del todo bien en este track

I would argue that this version fits better. Compare the 2 drops with each-other (as in the original 2nd drop and this 2nd drop). The one distinct difference you will for sure see is how much smoother the transitions to the melody are throughout the drop of this version. This is more of a problem for the original as it has a harder time blending with the melody. It’s like trying to blend blue into red, then trying to blend red into a dark red. One is clearly smoother than the other. This is not to say you have to like this version. I completely understand if you do, just know that this was more likely intentional, not because zaag is popular. Just be aware of that before you start telling people that liking this track makes them something you can’t say on here.
I love it, but i can feel the disgust of many people with the track ( in my case i listened to so many hardstyle tracks that nowadays i feel bored with the same style), if you released the old version it will make happy to everyone. Heady do it

For me personally, what the scene needs is innovation, don't get me wrong the original 2nd drop kick was fire aswell, but if even an hardstyle og like heady approves of zaagkicks in his tracks, this is just the next chapter of harder styles. imo it sounds sick, even tho a drop featuring both the original and zaag kick would be even better, but that's just personal preference ig
And i personally like the change, it makes the track less generic, brings a twist. And for Gods sake it's only one small part of the track, the rest is the same and is as cool as in the first version
The new version will definitely take some time to get used to. I will say it has similar shock value to the original as to how hard it goes, just personally don’t think it’s as good. Don’t even hate zaag kicks, I just don’t believe it fits the song as well. Hopefully they release the other version of it but I’m just happy to have the track
