wow... gotta love enginerds for making things as hard as possible. Just gotta remove the engine and all the interior to change a headlight.

Earlier Subarus were three bolts. My 2008 requires the removable of the bumper cover. Got to love progress. Everything gets harder and costs more.

Important / hardest part you did not show. i am doing mine today and it surprising the clips on mine were broken or missing in the same places yours were on your video. So changing the light assembly is simple but removing the bumper cover and resolving the issues with broken or missing plastic attachments is the only thing hard about this job. I noticed on the top most attachment under the wheel well, cover and fender meet was broke on one side and the other side had a phillips plastic screw. You touched it on the passenger side with your finger. So how did you fix the broken side and how did you remove the plastic phillips, mine just twisted off without coming out leaving solid plastic stub. Thanks for the video

is it possible to just remove one side of the bumper and let it hang off to remove one headlamp? or do you need to remove the bumper entirely?

I won a new pair of 2009 replacement headlamps on ebay. Where do you suggest I try to get them installed other than the dealership, which I expect would be at a high price?
