Hello i have a mark 6 fiesta ist basic with no electric windows also don’t have a central locking and button for the tailgate my question is ist possible to put a button for the tailgate and what is the procedure because every time i have to unlock the tailgate with key and is not very comfortable thanks 🙏

What a very clearly filmed and narrated video. Better than most. Good comment about the engineering by Ford. They could make it easier to change bulbs if they wanted to. Blame the design engineers.

Changed bulbs in a couple of cars now but this was an absolute nightmare… I thought nothing can top my focus but this just did. Thanks for the video, managed to not break anything off and everything working. Top tip for those who do it, when you dismantle it, just change everything to new 🤣

Have to say this video is really helpful I've just had to order 2 new headlamp casings as my old ones failed on MOT I've watched this 4 times and even finding out what type of screwdriver I'll need is a big help so thanks 😊 👍👍👍👍

Brilliant, very helpful video. Just changed the headlight bulb on my mk6 Fiesta. It was all going so well, until it came to putting it back in. Half an hour of stress later, and by pure luck than judgment, it slotted home 😓 Could never have done it without this video though. Nice one 👍🏼

Man,thank you so much for this video! I just managed my change in the dark yard of my friend who luckily had had the right screw driver. But without this video I was entirely lost. The guy who sold me the bulb was not less confused with that system. 😅😳

Yours was a much better video on the unit removal and you did the harder side which was great too. I didn't know why Ford did it that way either that you have to remove the WHOLE unit just to change a bulb!!!

hi cyd,thanks much for reply to my comment, re--headlight bulbs , have since renewed both headlight units!! like you mentioned , can be a fiddly job, old lamps scratch/ internal haze!!!next job might be renewal of rear brake shoes, again this is a job where you must remove the drums to inspect the old shoes nb---- can work out expensive in 2006 fiesta mk6,, however while trying to remove the centre axle bolt i noticed the 30mm nut has a strange type of sealed over six point washer covering the nut ( shouldhave gone your route & undo the four bolts on backplate ) that was very good video ,,,!!!! thanks //regards neo@@CycloneCyd

Brilliant video. My clip is missing. Like you say the headlight sort of rolls out and back in. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet and torx bit to undo the screws (no extension).

After watching this great video - I thought I could do this! I could replace a H4 headlight bulb by myself - what could go wrong? Well, taking the headlight assembly off was the easy part. What was incredibly difficult - was removing that wire clip! It was next to impossible. Eventually, after broken fingernails and bleeding finger tips, it flung open. I removed the old bulb, inserted the new one - and put everything back - AND secured the light assembly tightly back into the car! It was only then that I realised - I had FORGOTTEN TO ATTACH THE RUBBER CAP!!! Aaarrgghhh!! Yep - it all had to be removed again....

As you spoke so I fiddled..yet the LHS is happily complete...RHS not yet...I found the loom holding that side too tight to turn away from the bumper cover...the bulbs ok..so will turn to our local Diesel Electric shop should it require.. good morning to you from Chard

If you can find a ford dealership with a parts department they can order them for you. Not cheap though!

The Bulb Size Type For This Fiesta Is H4 Bulb 60/55WATTS 3 Pin. I Recommend Bosch or Osram Long Life Or Ultra Long Life. they last long time.

I managed to change the passenger side headlight bulb without removing the assembly but the driver side has zero space to put your hands in. I can never get the bloody assembly back into the car once I have removed it, annoyingly my partner can do it

No better or worse than any other similar car. getting one that's been looked after is the trick.

I've got a Mk6 fiesta, 2006 model and its a lovely car, in great condition on the body/ underside and a very smooth drive, so i;'d recommend them, as is said below, find one that has been looked after, always check the MOT history when you look at one and see if its riddled with failures year on year or not
